Hello, all.

I need a recommendation for a good steak in DisneyWorld. We don't have a *bunch* of meals planned for Disney restaurants this trip (only two), as we want to take in some non-Disney restaurants during this vacation, as a result we want to make the most of the Disney meals we do undertake.

We're planning on 50's Drive-In for one evening, and what has become our "traditional" farewell supper is Teppan Edo. We'll be hitting MK, Epcot, and DHS, so restaurants in that area would be ideal. I've been reading up on Le Cellier in the Canadian pavillion, which sounds great, but thinking the kids might not find much to their liking.

Anyway, I thought I would consult the collective wisdom of those here to solicit opinions. Many TIA!!

Canada has by far the best steal. Teppan Edo (the Japanese Hibachi) has really good steak, its just cooked in a different way- might be more interesting for your kids though.

LeCellier has the best that I have tried so far..

Hands down the best steak at WDW is at Shula's in the Dolphin Resort. It is often voted the best steak in all of Orlando.

Kona Cafe at Poly. Usually an easy reservation to get. Good variety of food and best steak we have had to date at WDW.

Let me preface this by saying...I love steak. Between that and bacon, I could those 2 meats for every meal for the rest of my life and be just happy. I'm pretty anal retentive about how my meat is prepared and view anything over medium as both a sin and crime against nature.

We've always enjoyed the oak-grilled filet at California Grill. It's probably our favorite TS restaurant on property. The atmosphere, view, service, and food are top notch. My mouth is watering thinking about that steak dish, combined with some of Yoshe's sushi and a stiff Sapphire and Tonic.

For our honeymoon, we'll be trying both Le Cellier and Jiko as a result of the reviews here.

My DH and I ate at Le Cellier (twice) in August for our 20th anniversary. It was fabulous! We had the filet and it was great. The chocolate cake was good too. We can't wait to go back on our next trip and take our children. They are looking forward to it to since we have told them all about it. There were children there when we went and they seemed to be enjoying it.

Have a great trip!

Canada had a really nice steak but I think I preferred the steak at the Coral Reef best. Coral Reef had a great basic steak where in Canada the steaks tended to have more flair such as being coffee encrusted. Either way you can't go wrong.

Signature- Yachtsmen Steakhouse At the Yacht Club (if you do not mind the price tag). I have he

table service- LeCellier

Yachtsman Steakhouse (at the Yacht Club) and Shula's (at the Dolphin) are both a short walk/boat ride from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. They are both top notch steakhouses with a wide variety of steaks. Also in that general area is Flying Fish (at the Boardwalk), which, despite being a seafood oriented restaurant, has a great New York strip on the menu.

We LOVE the mushroom filet @ LeCellier epcot fantastic I would have to pick this first (love the beer cheese soup and pretzle bread sticks). I've also had the NYstrip At the Coral Reef epcot YUMMY as well, and they have seafood for others if not meat lovers(that was the only steak on the menu though). I so wish councourse steak house was still open we loved the steaks there, Im watching this post cuz we love steak and Im looking for some more opptions for my ddp that only takes 1TS.:thumbsup2

I think I'll try this staying at the Poly for 1st time this year would be convienent for 1st day arival dinner. We have had Ohana's but never Kona we love steak! I try anything once I'm going to check out menu. Thanks

I'm glad to hear some like the NY strip at CR as it is probably going to be our only chance for a good steak (with the ADR's we have). How about the NY strip at Tony's?

We had this 2 years ago and it was funny. We went with a grand gathering of 12 to Coral Reef for seafood on ddp. I kid you not ev1 ordered the NY strip for they didnt like the seafood selections at that time. To our surprise we all thought it was a fantastic steak at a seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is really cool too. If you like NY strip you will be happy with it:wizard: Tonlys:confused3 srry GL have a magical trip:tinker:

We ate at Shulas over the President's Day weekend. The food, service and ambiance was as good as we have had at any steakhouse in Boston or NYC. It was a very civilized break from the crowds.
