Hi - We'll be in Disney (POFQ) in December. Our anniversary falls during our trip (we honeymooned at Disney 17 years ago). Any recommendations for dinner? Our two children will be with us (ages 12 and 9). I was thinking about something at Grand Floridian as I heard the Christmas decorations are great there. Location (resort, park, etc) isn't a big factor. Thanks for any suggestions you have!

DH and I had our anniversary dinner at the California Grill at the Contemporary with our best friends (although none of us have children.) I would recommend there (there were plenty of kids eating there too when we were there.) I liked the food and looking at the castle lit up at night was wonderful. If you time it for when Wishes is on you can watch the fireworks from the restaurant and they pipe the music in too.

Another vote for the CG. We had our 25th there last Sept. Got a PS for 1 hour before Wishes. Had a window table, had the Disney Florist make up a beautiful flower arrangement for the DW. It was waiting on the table when we were seated. It was wonderfull. The food is great and the view is spectacular (you really need to see Wishes from this view). The wife was floored.

We just celebrated our 10th at Disney back in April. Whatever table service restaurant including any character meals you may do, don't forget to mention at check-in that you're celebrating your anniversary. You may very well be pleasantly surprised!!!! :cloud9:

I asked this same question a few weeks ago and was given some recommendations. We decided on yachtsman steakhouse. Our son is going to go to the beach club while we are there. Other recomendations I got were victoria and alberts, cali grill, whispering canyon, narcosses.
Good Luck...for us, it was between yachtsman and whispering can. we are going out another night without our son, so I think we are going to do whispering can. We have already been to cg & narcosses(wanted to try something new) and I thinK I may be way too picky for v&a's.

We're already thinking for our anniversary in April of eating at Artist Point at WL. In December, they have the most beautiful Christmas decorations at WL!

Hubby abd i ate at Artists Point in Feb for our anniversary adn it was wonderful the food was fabulous. They had menus with out names on them and happy aniversary printed .

The decorations at WL during christmas are supposed to be beautiful too and they have a kids club on premisis if you want to have an evening without the kids.

My hubby has a freind of his who workd for Disney make all fo the ressies including the room so the anniversary was mentioned on the room ressie as weel adn when we got back to our rom onthe afternoon of our anniversary there were balloons and a card from Belle and the Beast wishing us a happy anniversary. ( we didnt use the kids cluns our freinds watched the kids for us)

wait a minute do they still ahvea kids club or not i cant remember now....

I'd consider two places for an anniversary dinner: Artist Point at WL or the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.

Whichever place you decide to go, be sure to let them know its your anniversary.

We did Narcoossee's for our first anniversary. We noted on our Ps's that it was our anniversary and we were presented with two complmentary glasses of champagne. Though we love the California Grill, the food at Narcoossee's was even better...completely outstanding!
