Not really interested in any of the dinner selections in Magic Kingdom. Do you have any recommendations? I have an ADR for Trail's End, but wondering if we should try somewhere else after the mixed reviews. Only have base tickets, so we couldn't go to another park that evening. Thanks for your help!

That's tough to answer. Nobody knows what you like to eat, so far. We like Trail's end, especially the buffet.

There is every type of food that you would get anywhere within ten miles of WDW. Have you considered eating at any of the Disney Resorts?

There are a lot of great options in each of the monorail resorts. Have you checked the menus on allearsnet.com?

We like american cuisine mostly, not really into fancy dishes. I haven't looked at allears.net, but i will now. thanks for the info.

You could try The Wave at CR, Kona at Poly, Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF or Whispering Canyon at WL...all offer great food and are very close to the MK.

End is a nice enough buffet. The foods not high end but the price is right. It's one of the better values at WDW. It's also a little longer transit times to and fro compared to the monrail resorts. The monorail resorts are The Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. The latter two can be reach via the resort monorail train or boat. You can also walk to the Contemporary.

They all have nice casual TS locations. Here are some menus so you can judge which bests fits your palates.

The Wave - Contemporary

Grand Floridian Cafe

Poly

Kona Cafe

Ohana - a family style restaurant

They are all solid restaurants. I would go with the one with the menu that suits you best.

We really like Kona Cafe at the Polynesian! Nice short monorail trip and a nice break from MK.

I love Kona Cafe as well as 'ohana. Those would be my choices

I do not like Trail's End.

We love O'Hana -- fun family style fare and tons of delicious food! Short monorail ride and yummy!

Also, we really like the California Grill on top of the Contemporary but it is more upscale.

We love Ohana for dinner and 1900 Park Fare dinner buffet (with Cinderella and co.) at Grand Floridian...great prime rib:) Trails End may take you a bit longer to get to as well...longest ride via a boat (bus would be faster?) then a walk to the restaurant.
