Ok, I am looking for your favorites and why they are your favorites please.

I would like to have dinner with a view one night. And the other I'm open for suggestions. We are taking our kids (16, 14 & 11) in mid-January.

:)The food and the view, as well as the service are outstanding.
You can view MK and the fireworks from your table.

IMO there is no combination of great food and wonderful view that even comes close @ the World.:)

Just from a food standpoint, JIKO@ AKL is a favorite, along w/ LeCellier @ Epc.
Wasn't crazy about Artisit Point, and never been to Victorai & A's or Citricio's although I hear great things.

Enjoy!

Boma at AKL is a great place to take older kids. There is a great selection of interesting, but not too unusual, food. My kids, both teens, loved it, especially the soups and desserts. It's a buffet, so it's easy to try a little of even the most unusual sounding items. If you haven't been to the AKL before, it's an adventure added to dinner. The resort is beautiful and exotic, and there are many viewing areas to check out the animals.

I think the best food at Disney is at Victoria & Albert. There's no view, but the food is amazing. For view I would imagine most votes will be for California Grill.

We loved Le Cellier in Canada and the Grand Floridian Cafe the last time we went....good luck choosing...Boma is a good one too!

I totally agree with you on that....Cali Grill is my family's all time favorite restaurant in all of WDW, my DD6 and DD8 even say the same thing about it. It has become our must do restaurant each time we are there.

As for a second restaurant, the only other signature restaurant we went to is Artist Point and I thought it was good, but not as good as Cali Grill. However the decor is awesome, very warm and inviting. When we go to Disney in December we have Yachtsman's, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, and a few new character meals on our list so I will have to remember to come back and comment on those.

Ohana's. You can watch Wishes from the window of the restaurant.

Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Super corny jokes but a lot of family fun.

If you want the best food, that would be V&A. It's one of the top ranked restaurants in the country and all of our meals here have been spectacular.

Ca Grill has the best view but it is not one of my top pics for good food (although I do enjoy the sushi here). And with a party of 5, I'm not sure you'd get a window seat as most of the tables by the windows are 2 tops or 4 tops. Even in January, this place will be full. The views are still spectacular even if you are not seated up against the windows.

My favorites, excluding V&A which was already mentioned, are: bluezoo, Il Mulino, Flying Fish, Citricos and Jiko.

# 1California Grill is our all time favorite.

 • The View of Seven Seas Lagoon is incredible
 • The View of Magic Kingdom fireworks are Incredible
 • The View of the Electric Water Parade is Incredible
 • The service is Incredible
 • The prices are INCREDIBLE
 • The Food is Superb (thought I was going to say incredible)
We tried to plan seeing the fireworks from our table but finished about 20 minutes early. We saw the fireworks and the Electric Water Parade from deck of California Grill. I had forgotten all about the parade. The last time I seen it was in the summer or 1973 with my parent. Now I was there with my kids. WOW it was a great memory.

# 2 is a tie. If you like steaks, Yachtsman Steakhouse and if you like seafood, Flying Fish. Some people have given the Yachtsman bad reviews lately but we loved it. Our steak was cooked to perfection and our server had 20 years experience and it showed. Always there when we needed him but never a hunt. Flying Fish is just great! We enjoy our seafood cooked, well they call it well done today. He asked if our seafood was cook to our satisfaction. He also had been working there since it opened. Never did we feel rushed.

59 days till I can make our ADR's all 3 are on my list.

Top rated restaurant in WDW is Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian.

Second-highest rated restaurant is Bistro de Paris, upstairs in the France Pavilion at Epcot. Some of the tables are at windows.

Both of these are fine dining, and you can expect to spend about 2¼ hours for a meal. Children under ten are not permitted at V&A, and there is no children's menu at BdP and small children are discouraged. Neither will accept DDP, but they do accept TiW for discount.

Narcoose's at GF also offers a view (and soundtrack) of Wishes and serves awesome food (2 credits on dp). And I would second LeCellier. If you time it right, you can eat and then walk right out to see Illuminations. Boma was great and lots of fun, too, though there's no nighttime show to ooh and aah over!

Enjoy your choice and your trip!

Hard to narrow down to two.

I'll go with the first two that came to my mind:

Narccosee's food is excellent and we love the view.

Yachtsman for the perfectly done food and IMHO the best and most experienced service short of V&A

My personal favourites are California Grill and Flying Fish.

California Grill because of the view - actually I would not go for the fireworks, but for sunset. You have a better view if it is still light outside and watching the sun set from there is magical. Im mid January you would need a ADR for when they open at 5:30 pm to see the sun set. You can then have a nice meal and possibly even still be around for the fireworks at 8 pm. Or if you finish early enough, just wlak over to the MK and catch Wishes from Main Street. I prefer the view from Main Street to the view from CG.

Flying Fish was a wonderful meal. I also like the atmosphere of the Boardwalk and you can walk around a bit there before or after dinner and watch people.

no view but shula's steak house is awesome. if your kids like football then take them to shula's because it's all football related right down to the menu which is on a real football.

That is also another reason why we love Cali Grill. We always get a 5:30 ADR for that sole purpose. Not only is the sunset very pretty up there, but it is really neat to eat your dinner and watch the boats on Splash go down the hill and to watch Astro Orbitor take flight. :cloud9:

Dinner with a view? Gotta be Cali Grill....the other meal I would got to any of these places:

Flying Fish
The Wave
BlueZoo
Il Mulino
Jiko

You didn't mention your budget or what kind of view you were looking for. If you are lucky enough to snag a window seat, 'Ohana would fit the bill with a lower price tag than some of the others mentioned. For a different "view", Sanaa at the AKLV offers views of the animals. Again, the price-tag for this meal is more reasonable. Coral reef in Epcot, gives you a "view" of the aquarium and can be very reasonably priced for lunch. A widow seat at Cinderella's Royal Table can give you a lovely view of the MK. (Before Wishes, we loved the view during fireworks). (Prices are high at CRT considering the quality of the food which is good not great)

For food, I would take Jiko over Cali any day of the week. My teens also prefer it by a mile. (It is a much more relaxed atmosphere). Again, considering the kids, my teens loved our meals at Artist's Point. We like to relax while dining. Cali was a bit formal for my family.

Narcossee's for a meal with a view.
(Cal Grill has the view but is loud spoils the mood. Plus I give major thumbs down on service there.)
Long story but will eat there again bad.)
Jiko for a memorable meal.

We ate at CG in September and our table was in the "wine room" it was much quieter in there and we had a great view of bay lake. I was disappointed at first when they sat us in there, but when we go back I would ask to sit there again.

Artist Point is another nice restaurant, the food was excellent.

For view, I'd recommend Narcoossee's. If you have a reservation that overlaps the MK fireworks, the wait staff and kitchen crew are very accommodating to fact that you may want to step out onto the porch to view the display. If you let them know that this is your plan, they will usually be able to time the preparation and delivery of your courses to ensure a hot dish isn't left waiting at an empty table while you're watching the fireworks.

Another favorite of mine, that hasn't been mentioned, is Portobello (formerly the Portobello Yacht Club) in DTD. It's by far my favorite place to go for steak in Disney.

Happy dining.
