Hi there! We are coming from Australia to WDW for 7 days and then to DL for 3 days in Oct this year. We last went to DL in 2004 for 7 days and got the unofficial guide to DL 2004 which was good. Can anyone recommend a different guide book for this trip, as a lot of things have changed since 2004. I don't want to get the unofficial guide again, as I want something different to read. Have been considering the birnbaum 2008 one (what coupons are in it?). Thanks everyone!!!:goodvibes :wizard:

I love The PassPorter series. I have one for WDW, DL, and the cruise line that just came out. You can look at their website and see what you think. I also have The Everything Faimly Guide to the DL Resort and it's okay. I do like the Unofficial Guide better though.

Can you tell I really enjoy the planning part?

I like the Official Guide and the Unofficial Guide the best- although I get the MOST information from here!

The coupons in the 2008 book are 10% off Anne Geddes, $50 Visa gift card if you apply for a Disney Rewards Visa, 10% off Sunglasses Icon, Free pretzel at Wetzel's, free dessert at the ESPN zone, and 10% off any purchase of $50 or more at Disneyland

Have fun sounds like an awesome trip!

I wasn't impressed with the "Unoffical Guide" some of the info was wrong or outdated. I tried to check the publishers website for corrections and updates but there weren't any. JMHO:3dglasses

I second the Passporter! I love mine. I have them for both DL & WDW. One of my favorite parts of them are the pockets in the back, they have areas to record what you have done on your trip. They have color maps of the parks and well, they are just great to look at!

Have a great time planning!

Did you order your Passporter online?

I also like the Passporter. I have one for DL, and got one for our cruise when we went to the Mediterranean. The authors are very thorough, and I like how they have crafted their book to be used on vacation to tuck away those memories, make notes, etc.

Mary Jo you swear like you need a guide for DL at all:lmao:

No, I bought it from Borders. They have them in most of our bookstores around here. There are discounts to be had if you need to buy one from their website though. If you sign up for their email newsletter, you will get a code for 20% off. There are others, up to 35% off. They also occasionally have specials for shipping that will combine with the coupon.

I love my passporter, can you tell?:lovestruc
