Recommend CS in DHS

I know already the options and limited and not great, but we will eat lunch here and need to find a place. So, any recs are definitely appreciated. It is me, DH and DD3.

we used to go to Backlot Express however on our last few trips we tried Studio Catering Company and we like it there so much more. They have more than just the standard hamburger and fries that most CS stick with.

We ate at Pizza Planet because my older son (who was 3 at the time) loves Toy Story and wanted to eat there. I don't eat pizza on vacation (from Brooklyn and consider myself a "pizza snob")...so I got the Pizza Planet Chicken Salad and I loved it. DH is less picky about pizza and can go to a theme park with the expectation that the pizza is not the same as at home and almost mentally prepare himself! He thought the veggie pizza was fine there. I'll admit, I tasted a bite of it and it was not bad. My sons loved it! We will probably go back but I would get the salad again.

I think we'll do Pizza Planet for the Toy Story factor.

I know we won't do ABC - yesterday or day before there was a post about WORST CS in WDW and it won, hands down.

We love the ABC commissary. Really- won worst? It has great AC, many tables, and if you like burgers and noodle bowl type items, it is good for those things.

We always loved the ABC Commissary and am surprised that it got worst CS votes. Plenty of tables, fresh food and a nice atmosphere.

Pizza Planet is pretty good as well but it is crazy busy there and always tough to find a table.

Well I'll second the motion that ABC is the worst... We had simple, basic burgers and they were just gross. It was by far the worst meal of the trip. I think I'd have to vote for Pizza Planet- only thing that gets us is one of our DS's can't have dairy, so I'm not sure where we'll eat... Hopefully someone will have some good recs! I'll be watching!

Worst burger I had at the World was at ABC. I'm not a food snob at all, but at MGM if I'm not eating at Prime Time, I'm not eating - they have nothing for CS that I would waste money or a credit for.

We ended up at Pizza Planet and it wasn't bad. Didn't really check out the theming much as we got our food and went outside to eat. Nice to have a the salad with the pizza and I loved getting the Mickey Head rice krispie treat for a dessert! It's not a bad place to eat (in WDW terms).

So, we just discovered, on one of our last trips...Studio Catering Company. The menu isn't large but we loved the grilled chicken w/rice and beans. It was nice to eat something not fried or greasy. And they also have margaritas at the bar...yum!

Backlot Express!

The best burger we had in January was at Backlot Express - very fresh and juicy, and the fries were great. It was the only burger meal we had the whole trip, so I have nothing else to compare it to, but we really enjoyed it. The kids got chicken nuggets and they liked them.

We also really liked the Pizza Planet lunch, but that was crazy busy. We were able to find a spot outside to sit. The only other thing we bought was turkey legs - we took them home for dinner.

We love the ABC Commissary. Plenty of seating, and we love the Cuban Sandwich with plantain chips and also like the curry bowl and Asian salad. My dd had a burger and it was fine, nothing spectacular but it tasted like all the other burgers we eat at WDW. If you like Cuban sandwiches, ABC is great. Theirs is more like a panini and I love those plantain chips. It does tend to get bad reviews, but honestly, we eat there every trip and love it.

We also like Rosies for burgers.

Pizza Planet serves the same yucky pizza they serve everywhere else in WDW so I avoid that at all costs. The only WDW pizza I will eat is the Boardwalk pizza window and Wolfgang Puck's.
