Big Bang Theory is funny - in theory. Some of it is just smart people trying to be funny, when it really isn't funny.. it's only funny because of the geekiness involved. See I overthink it.. but some of is so stereotypical. Smart people are geeky, friends are blonde.. whereas most smart people aren't truly that geeky.

The comedies we watch and enjoy every week are Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, and $@#$ My Dad Says although the last one is the least favorite and we don't record it if we're not home, like we do record the others.

I LOVE Parks and Recreation, and the 3rd season starts Jan 20. The first season was spotty but they found their niche in season 2 and it's brilliant!

Big Bang Theory and Rules of Engagement.

The first few episodes of RoE I asw last year were 'eh'. This year they must have new writers because I'm in stitches every episode. The pot smoking one was awesome. Adam cracks me up.

Big Bang Theory seems to be declining but I still enjoy it mostly.

They need to get away from Amy and Sheldon. It is like they are stuck on that story line and it is getting old and over done. the jokes are really stretching now and getting away from reality. that is what was funny with this show how true to life they pegged these characters! and how you knew someone exactly like that person and who would say the same things, now they have Sheldon saying things that a person like him would never say just to try and make a joke.

Just leave her as an occasional side line and get back to the way it used to be.

On Showtime, I also watched The Big C. It's been nominated for a Golden Globe Comedy award this year. I loved that show. It just finished it's first season and you can only see it on Showtime On Demand. I think it goes to DVD shortly.

If you get a chance to see The Big C, you should watch it.

See now Hubby says Big Bang is funny because he works with people just like the characters in the show. He works in computers & I've met many of them & yes, they are that geeky. And most of our friends are that geeky as well.

Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are the only two true comedies we watch any more. We kind of watch Running Wilde but no way it gets renewed.

We loved Scrubs (have all the DVDs) and Better Off Ted (is on Netflix on-demand!) but they are gone.

We also love Castle, which is technically more of a crime show but is full of funny bits so it is almost a comedy. Nathan Fillion is amazing.
