How important is it to have a stroller that reclines for a 2 1/2 year old while at Disney?

I am stuck, I really like the Silver Cross Micro and the Maclaren Triumph. The Silver Cross is cheaper, but it doesn't recline. I am not sure how much of a big deal it is. We are going to try and go back to the hotel during the day, but you know how that goes, sometimes you might not.

Depends if dc likes to recline or not. For me I know dd doesn't care to recline. If I recline her she wants up or sits up anyway.

I'm thinking of getting the Silver cross I love the pink and black one. But I'm going to just use my dads stroller which I have no clue what kind it is to see how much my dd would need a stroller anyway.

We are moving and will go more often so who knows. She doesn't hardly ever use a stroller anymore.

One of my main requirements when shopping for my new stroller was a reclining seat. My DS is 2 and has a hard time sleeping unright and often slumped forward. He often will sleep if he is reclines, though. I know what you mean about not always making it back to the hotel to rest :goodvibes so I definately did want the recling option.

Depends on the child. Mine are 5 and almost-3. They love the recline feature--it is more comfy for them when sleeping. They hated our non-reclinable umbrella strollers.

So in my case--recline is VERY important. :)

I have a Maclaren Volo......I was worried that my 17 month old would have a hard time napping in it because is doesn't recline, but I have to say that she did just fine snoozing in it at Kennywood the other day. She was leaned back just enough that she didn't flop forward at all while sleeping and did absolutely fine. That Silver Cross Pink one is cute! I'd probably go for it. Did you see the Mac Volo in the Magenta and black? That's the one that I got. LOVE it! I may of went for the Triumph, but they just lacked the cool colors. Also I didn't care for their sunshade. The one on my Volo is shaped different. I did order the pad and rainshield for the Disney trip so I got more into it than the Triumph but oh well, I had to have that hot pink!

Thanks everyone. I went ahead and ordered the Silver Cross Micro. I have some friends that have it and they say not having the recline feature is not a problem, so I am going to try it out and see.

I know you've already made your decision, but I wouldn't buy a stroller that doesn't recline--at least partially. For us, it just wouldn't work for a long day. Short trips to the mall might be OK. The reason being, while my kids won't recline awake, they sleep better (and longer!) when reclined on long day trips (Sea World, WDW, etc).

My DS doesn't nap in the stroller, so a recline isn't a must-have for us.

But I wouldn't buy a Silver Cross right now (especially not at full price) - they are no longer distributing in the U.S., and are not currently honoring their warranties. Hopefully they will figure it out soon, but you could be stuck with a bum stroller until they do (the Silver Cross umbrellas have been prone to wheel problems).
