Hello everyone......I am getting married next month and I am in dire need of new recipes. I always get cooking magazines and collect cook books, but I find that some of the best recipes are the ones that you share person to person...with that being said........Anyone willing to share a recipe?

I'll start with the first one.....

Corn Casserole

1 can of creamed corn
1 can of whole kernel corn
1 stick of butter (softened)
1 8oz. sour cream
1 box of corn bread mix

Directions:

Mix together all ingredients in a bowl
place into a casserole dish and bake at 350 for about 30 to 45 and enjoy...:wizard:
 
You can us a pork butt/shoulder or beef like a brisket

Spay inside of crock pot w/ PAM
Rub meat with one envelope of taco seasoning and place in crock pot.
Add one can of diced ortega chilies , one diced medium onion and 1/4 cup of vinegar. Cook on low for 8 hours (for beef and pork) or about 4 hours for chicken.

When cooked shred meat and return to pot. Serve in flour tortillias with your choice of taco toppings.
 
Beer bread

In a bowl, Mix

3 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 beer

Bake in a loaf pan at 350 for 45 minutes. Melt a couple tablespoons of butter and pour over the top, continue baking 10 more minutes.
 

Easy Crock Pot Mac & Cheese

1 QT milk
1 egg
2 tbs dried minced onion
1 tsp dried mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
salt and pepper to taste
1 box noodles, uncooked
4 cups cheese

In crock pot mix together milk, egg and spices. Add noodles (any shape you like) and 3 cups of cheese (any flavor you like) top with remaining 1 cup of cheese cook on high 4-5 hours. (you can also add cooked diced ham, bacon, or ground beef or raw spinach!)

No, not at all. It has a somewhat sweet taste to it. I have given this recipe on request to a couple of dozen people over the years. It really is yummy and makes terrific toast too.

I saw this and made it last night. Mainly because I was out of bread and it was storming so I was too lazy to go to the store, and we ALWAYS have beer! It was very, very good and very, very easy. If you don't have self rising flour just add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt to every cup of flour you use.
