Recipe for cookies at HHI

Does anyone have the recipe for the cookies that they have at the check-in area? They are a cranberry cookie with nuts. Wonderful and highly addictive. We just got back from out 7 day trip to HHI and I am missing those cookies already.

I agree, those cookies are the best. I'm sure if you call the resort they'd be happy to share the recipe.

hi there... i love them too... i asked chef gordon once what made them so wonderful (after he led a "behind the ears wednesday morning tour " i was on at hhi ) and i believe he said... although he couldnt tell me specific "top secret" info with a wink... to take a look at the typical toll house chocolate chip cookie recipe on the back of the nestles choc. chip bag and.....

substitute brown sugar for the white sugar portion
substitute crisco for the butter
substitute craisins or dried cranberries for the chocolate chips
add nuts to your liking
always underbake just a tad

good luck, but i think even if you make them to perfection... they will always taste better under those live oak trees dripping with spanish moss while you laze on a hammock listening to b'lou crabbe play his fiddle nearby with shadow aw: and smell the combination of sea pines mixed with the ocean in the south carolina sunshine .... ahhhh... take me back there PLEASE (palmetto bugs and all )
