For those of you who live in the UK you might understand where I am going with this...
I have a lot of ppl who have said that they would like to come to our wedding in Florida. More than I would have thought. In the UK it is traditional for some guests to be invited to the 'day' and others to be invited to the 'night' of the wedding. Do you think that this would be ok, even in Disney? I'd have ppl come to the ceremony and cocktails. Then have family and bridal party for brunch, then have an evening reception?

Also my mum suggested us renting a villa for an evening party, a luxury villa. Has anyone done this before? Out of Disney but still nearby?

If it was a Wishes wedding I'd imagine you could do whatever you wanted- wedding in the morning, then have some sort of mini cocktail thing, then a brunch with family and an amazing reception bash with different people. It makes sense to me. That being said they can be weird about Escape numbers. With Wishes weddings you can basically have whatever you want so I don't see why it would be a problem.

Oh my gosh I wish that was customary in the U.S.! It would make things SO much easier on who to invite and staying within guest counts.

As far as inviting people to certain events, you probably have to know your guests and how they would feel. If they're used to that sort of thing, then it's probably fine. But, if you know your guests would feel it's not worth the long trip just to go to one part of the event, then you might have to invite all to everything. It really depends.

Me personally, I live 4 states away and probably would not go all the way to FL if I was just invited to the ceremony. I'd wait for pictures/video afterward. Of course, that's also speaking economically since the cost of the trip and stay are a big factor in that decision. If I had the money to spare, I'd probably go and then just make it into a vacation.

If you are bringing people 9&1/2 hours flight to your wedding, I think you would probably be mean not to invite them to the meal. Not even gonna mention the costs of flights from the uk... If they are willing and want to do that to be there for you, then maybe you should think of showing your appreciation. That being said, what about having the meal elsewhere other than disney if the cost is too high? Come back to disney in the evening for a reception.

Very true.
I just feel bad I want to invite everyone but i know that it's not financially possible. I think a meal in a restaurant is doable for all the guests I'm just concerned it will be too informal.
Would I still be able to have centrepieces?

It's so funny it's so far away and I have all the time in the world and yet I'm worried I won't be able to get anything done til I have visited venues in Florida. :s

Yes people have had restaurant receptions with centre pieces.
