I have a couple of fussy eaters in my family. My fiance is one of them. And I was wondering how much you are allowed to tweat the menu at your reception site. I have an idea about what I want, I just wanted to know if they will do it for me. pixiedust: :mickeyjum :mickeybar

My husband is a super picky eater. I was able to order a special meal for him at our wedding in 2003. Our reception was at the Boardwalk Inn. We served one of the plated dinners (Shrimp cocktail, ceasar salad, chicken and mashed potatoes). My husband had a cheese sticks for an appetizer and a cheeseburger and potato chips for his meal. We also ordered off the kids menu for my nephew but we asked that he be served the shrimp cocktail since he loves shrimp.

I think that as long as you don't wind up ordering special meals for a bunch of your guests, that they will accomadate your requests. They will definitely accomadate any special requests that you have for you fiance. When I mentioned that my husband would want a different meal, I was told "Absolutely, it is his day too. Why should he have to eat something that he doesn't like" In fact Disney printed a special menu card for him that I had framed!

Great question disbride :) I was wondering this too!

I have several guests who are allergic to certain things. My best friend/ BM has celiac disease which means she cannot have anything w/ flour in it (very hard to do), a couple cousins allergic to peanuts, another cousin fatally allergic to dairy and eggs, diabetic grandparents who require sugar-free items, and my uncle cannot have potassium. Doesn't my family sound like so much fun :rotfl: I am hoping Disney will accomodate us especially b/c we're having a buffet. Has any one else had similar problems?

We are having a buffet at the LS and the chef was able to accommodate us as well. We have some allergies, diabetics and one fatal peanut allergy. And we didn't get charged extra. It all worked out. Just talk to them. :thumbsup2

disney is very accomodating. we had a custom menu at our reception including chicken scampi & beef tenderloin & we had a few allergies & picky eaters i simply had special plates for their entrees like salmon for my non red meat eating mom, no dairy items for my allergic mil & a young picky cousin had pizza instead of chicken fingers.

I will have a couple of allergies and picky eaters at my wedding in Dec, but Disney have been great at helping me sort the menu out!

Hmm those of you who had special items for a few people...how did Disney know where to bring them. I mean they know which table but how did they know which person...or did they ask at the table? TIA!

:stir: does disney include Hors D'oeuvres with the dinner menu or is that a separate menu which means its extra money.and does any one know what they are

those are separately prices....and i agree disney is very accomodating to special requests and make sure they carry through.

When they send you the menu package, you'll see that some of the menu choices do include the hors d'oeuvres. They are the cocktail hour before dinner.
