Hello,
I'm new on here! Fab site!

We are visiting Orlando from the UK to get married on 26th April 2006 and are staying at orlando World Center Marriott, LBV from 20th April.

We are getting web at Cypress Grove at 3pm on Wednesday 26th April, organised with Virgin Holidays/Weddings.

Can anyone suggest anywhere nice, near to LBV where we are staying for to have a meal and drinks after the wedding. There will be 16 adults (inc us), 1 6 yr old and 2 under 2's = 19 in total.

Any links to sites, personal recommendations and menu's and prices would be excellent!

Many thanks in advance
Peter

sorry i dont have any information on places to eat etc but you've come to the right place! just wanted to say congrats on the wedding!!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I know there are brides on here who live in that area, I used to live in an Orlando suburb but I don't know about a lot of restaurants off Disney property. The Orlando World Center Marriott is a gorgeous hotel! You'll really like it there.

It depends on what type of restaurant you are looking for. I've heard really good things about Texas de Brazil, it's not too casual, but can get a pretty wild atmosphere. Have you looked at the restaurants at the Marriott? There are some good places right in the hotel that should be able to accommodate all of you. They may even be able to do a personalized wedding dinner and cake or dessert, since you are guests at the hotel.

Check this website
http://www.mytravelguide.com/hotels...World_Area_Marriott_Orlando_World_Center.html and look for restaurants near the hotel. This will list ALL restaurants, including some fast food places, so hopefully it will give you a good idea of what's around the hotel.

Best Wishes :goodvibes

will you have transportation around orlando?

my bm had her rehearsal dinner last summer at the melting pot in orlando in a private room, it was really nice & totally different (its a fondue restaurant). the food was good (especially the dessert yum) ntm something special. we went to the melting pot again for valentines this year too. http://www.meltingpot.com

also like jandj suggested check out your hotels restaurants & see what can be done for your special occasion. best of luck.

20 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:

I can second The Melting Pot. They have several restaurants throughout the US and we have one where I live too. VERY YUMMY!

For general info, not Disney-related, I've found the Central Florida to-be-wed forum on TheKnot.com to be extremely helpful. There are several of us here in this forum who frequent both sites for info. This is definitely the place to come for Disney honeymoons and weddings, but for general questions, I usually go to TheKnot.

Good luck with your planning! ~Ev
