Spent 1/2 day at IOA on Tues May 20. It only took 1/2 a day because we got there about 1/2 an hour before opening and were let in and there were basically NO lines! It was great! Now I am not a roller coaster person but DH rode Hulk and Dr. Doom in the span of about 15 minutes, basically however long it took to literally walk up to the ride and ride it! Then we went over to Spiderman which was down at the time. We headed on through Toon Lagoon without stopping anywhere as we wanted to hit all the rides first and then do our shopping and looking around. We go to IOA every year so we know our way around pretty good!:D
On to Jurassic Park and the River Adventure. Again DH walked right on and the best part was he was in a car all by himself! We had to by the picture as I told him "how often are you going to be able to have a ride photo of yourself with NO ONE else in the picture??!!" It's great. He also picked up a Jurassic Park frame which is really great. DH passed on Dueling Dragons this year but the wait was posted as 0 minutes. We headed over to the Cat in the Hat next, a ride we had never done. I wasn't crazy about it - too much spinning! Not enough to make you feel sick or anything but I thought the ride would have been better without it. Heard an employee telling another guest that Spiderman was back up so we headed there and the line was now 45 minutes. Decided to try the Express pass for the first time. We always come at the same time of year and have never needed to use them. It worked out great as the Express time we picked was 15 minutes away and so we just shopped while we waited. Then at 10:00 bypassed that long line and literally walked right on the ride - it worked even better than Fast Pass! Way to go Universal!! :bounce: I love this ride! It's just incredible and so much fun. We then walked back through the park stopping at various stores and looking around. We finally remembered to look for the water guns on the bridge and they were so much fun! If you haven't heard of them they are these water gun type things - that you pay $.25 to shoot. If you time it right you can just soak people and it's so funny as they have no idea what's going on! One of the somewhat overlooked fun thing at Universal. I think we spent about 10.00 just shooting them over and over. It was one of our favorite times of the entire trip! Stopped and ate at Burger Digs for the first time. Great burgers - restaurant quality but it's a counter service place. Great fixings bar and we really enjoyed the music playing and the atmosphere. After taking a lot of pictures we were back at the entrance and it was only 11:30! We did so much in such a short time so we got on the road early after looking through some of the Universal shops at Citywalk.
As a side note we came up to Citywalk from WDW one night for dinner and ate at the NBA City while we love the store the food was BAD! We would never go back - I had the jambalaya and Hubby had the Philly Steak Sandwich. Neither of us even ate 1/2 and the waitress was sooo annoying. Not an enjoyable dinner at all. Wish we had gotten the 2 hour pass and ate at Mythos as we enjoyed it so much last time - Oh well live and learn!:D Just wanted to post our thoughts we are planning to spend at least one night at one of the Universal hotels next time if we can get a pretty good rate and spend more time at Citywalk and enjoying the parks.

Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like you had lots of fun! (Big meanies with those water guns!) ;)
