Just thought I'd share some of my recent trip.

We stayed at CBR. I won't say too much about the hotel except it was nice but I doubt I would return due to the size.

So we made our FP+ selections way in advance. Managed to get a Frozen Ever After FP for 7th October which was obviously not doable due to Hurricane Matthew. We tried to get another but of course there were none available, so I called Disney to ask if there was any way they could help but they said there was nothing they could do. I know it wasn't their fault that we couldn't use the FP but having to queue up made us have to change our plans a bit. So anyway we decided to bite the bullet on the 10th and queue up. The posted wait time was 90 minutes. 80 minutes into the queue (and we were right near the front), the ride goes down, and they kept us in the queue (our own decision of course) for about 30 minutes before they evacuated the building and gave us paper FP for another time. We waited a few more hours at Epcot and the ride still wasn't running so yet again we had to change our plans and head back to Epcot another day. Again, I know this wasn't their fault, just a bit frustrating! I did get to ride FEA in the end, and I really enjoyed it. The animatronics are incredible.

Another thing I couldn't believe were the crowds:earseek:. I can't remember which day exactly but there was a day at MK where 7DMT had a posted wait time of 210 all day! and the other E-Tickets like Space Mountain were 120 minutes etc. There was even a 20 minute posted wait time on MDE for the People Mover?! I had to see it to believe it and much to my surprise there was a CM right near COP holding a sign indicating where the line for the People Mover started, crazy!

We also went to MNSSHP (originally supposed to go on the 6th but due to the Disney Closure for Hurricane Matthew we rescheduled for the 10th. We had a really, really good time and I would definitely say you're not just paying extra for a different parade and fireworks. If you're considering going, I'd definitely recommend it!

We also went to the MK 45th anniversary on 10/01, rode Stitch (still don't like it) before it's seasonal closure, and bought some commemorative souvenirs, but didn't manage to get one of the free buttons as we were too late and they'd run out:guilty:.

Trying to adjust back to reality now and possibly coming down with a case of Disney Depression . It's been a pretty good 3 months as we went to Disneyland California in July, Disneyland Paris in August (I'm from the UK) and finished it off with WDW in September/October! Currently trying to fight the sadness by thinking about a possible 2 week stay at Poly in 2018!

Well, until next time!

Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear about all of your troubles trying to do FEA.

I am sorry you didn't like CBR. It is the only moderate we haven't stayed at, but we have a dear friend who is in the food court right now with the CP. She is such a dear. I know she was on the rideout crew for the hurricane and sent a pic that showed the food court or lobby, wall to wall with people.

I am glad you didn't let the weather ruin your trip.

Wow, you've done you some Disney lately! :thumbsup2

We were there during the same timeframe and lost our FPs as well. I asked GS what they did for comps/replacement and they said nothing. However, we found out afterward several resorts/guests received comp FPs. Oh well.

Instead we RD Epcot on Sat Oct 8 for FEA. I though Epcot + Sat was an insane idea, but it worked out great with only about a 15-20 min wait. Then the line was 60+ min out the pavilion when we were done. However, we personally did not care for FEA and promptly deleted our Oct 11 FPs (was that a first? :duck:). Frozen is cute and has an incredible queue, but we enjoyed when Norway was a culturally based pavilion with Maelstrom. Frozen is everywhere.

We also attended the same MNSSHP and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was so NICE to finally enjoy a party that wasn't sold-out. And how about that weather? Wasn't it beyond incredible!?

The only thing that put me off was the size of the resort! Other than that I really did like it. What I should have mentioned is how well the CMs handled the hurricane situation. I appreciate that they were called away from their homes not knowing if they'd even still be intact when they got back. But as usual they were all very friendly and they managed to handle the crowds well!

That's a bit disappointing that others received comp FPs but such is life! I'm grateful I got to ride FEA anyway.

Glad I'm not the only person who enjoyed it a lot, I had my worries about the party on the 6th being cancelled as I thought maybe the party I went to would have double the guests but it was nice and quiet and as you said, the weather was great!

One thing I didn't mention was that we actually saw the final MSEP and got a cool photopass photo in front of the castle holding an MSEP shield!

CBR is too big for us as well, though since we stayed there we've become DVC members and love being able to stretch out in one or two bedrooms. Looking forward to our MNSSHP next week! Oh, and lucky you! Disney Paris is on my wish list!
