Recent Wish Trippers?

Hi, has anyone done a Wish trip recently? Our family was just scheduled for October (yay!! 2.5 years of waiting!) and I have some questions about how things work with GKTW, etc, and not a lot of time before booking windows open. I'd love to talk to someone!

I think your Wish coordinator would be the first person to ask, and then you can contact the village through their website: https://www.gktw.org/

Hopefully it will be safe in October to travel to central Florida (((hugs))) and GKTW and WDW will be open.

Thanks, we are also hoping it's safe then. I was just trying to connect with some families who have gone during the pandemic.

Give Kids the World reopened in mid January 2021, but I haven’t seen anything on the DISBOARDS or multiple Facebook pages from anyone who has been there since it re-opened.
I look at their website periodically and haven’t seen anything on there regarding precautions they may be taking.

Thanks, Sue, I have one friend who has been, so I'll reach out to her too, although they were there last spring. Our MAW chapter said they are only doing wishes for children whose entire family can be vaccinated, so I'm sure that cuts down almost entirely on who can go since no one can be under 12. And before that, it's only been the smaller wish orgs, so I'm sure there aren't a lot there. When my friend went, she said there were only 11 families. Didn't hurt to try, thanks.

I don’t remember which areas, but I’ve read some MAW chapters were not doing any trips.
