We had a nice stay in a studio at the BCV. Room was fresh and clean, however furniture is getting a little worn (all of the drawers seemed to be off track). TV's are still the small 19". The grounds looked wonderful and CM were very friendly. Love seeing Art!

The downside was the laundry. They have placed two HE washers in the laundry room with no instructions. We have HE equipment at home, so I was helping show others how to use them. They do not offer HE detergent in the vending machines. The detergent trays were always retaining water and there is no laundry tub. People were dumping the water in the trash cans. The normal cycle for the washer was 106 minutes and the dryer took about 70 minutes. So, it's quite time-consuming to do laundry. One day, I tried to get a washer five times and finally gave up.

Did you call maintenance about the drawers?

Using the member laundry room isn't something that I ever plan on doing (see my signature about studios ;)) but that would be a nightmare if no one knows how to use them and they don't provide the correct detergent to be used.

You might want to notify MS via the website to let them know about your problems with the laundry room.

Yeah, I'll admit it took me a while to figure out the washer and dryer, too. I did select the short cycle, because there was no way I was going to sit in there and wait for 106 minutes for just the wash cycle.

I have to admit that one thing I miss about SSR when I'm staying at the BCV is the ability to hop in the pool while the laundry is running.

We stayed in a Studio in Jan where it was just DH and I. I found the laundry quite time consuming as well. It also wasn't easy to find, I had to call the front desk.

There is always the option of paying for the regular machines by the quiet pool if its a must. Whenever possible I always do laundry on vacation. There is just nothing worse them coming home to reality with suit cases full of dirty laundry. At least doing it in WDW its still "fun" since you are at the happiest place on earth!

There was a sign on the machine to just use 1/2 as much detergent as you normally would. It was a very long wash cycle. Hard to believe its more energy efficient.
