My wife and I recently bought a 90 point / 2057 expiration contract for Old Key West through resale. It was our fourth attempt, with Disney buying the other three. Our purchase was fast and flawless. Our offer was accepted by the sellers on November 5 and the points were loaded into our account yesterday (December 14). 5 1/2 weeks from start to finish!

Did you save money over buying direct?
I saved about 35% buying resale this year on 2 contracts.
One of my resale went quicker than the other. Same title company, different broker.

Yup. Disney is currently asking $180 per point for OKW and we got ours for significantly less.

One of them was, the other two weren't. There really was no rhyme or reason to Disney's approach to exercising their Right of First Refusal.

Yes, I agree, would be curious to know how long the actual purchase process was.

One of the four offers was a couple of years ago and I was so bummed we didn't get it, I gave up for a while. But, as for the other three, we made our first offer in back in the end of September. Disney bought that one about three weeks later. We made our second offer a day or two later and found out within two weeks that Disney had bought it. Our successful offer was made and accepted a day or two after that. So for our most recent efforts, it took from the end of September until December 14 to finally own another contract.
