Recent Orbit One stays?

Has anyone stayed at Orbit One Vacation Villas lately? We are heading down in a few weeks and need a few nights off site...can you tell me the good, the bad and the ugly? Any pictures to share? Can you tell me about the pool? It looks so small in a few pictures I found on-line..it must be crowded during the day?

While it wasn't recent, we stayed at Orbit One in Oct. 2008. The pool was fairly large with a slide. It was never crowded during our stay. The unit was great: clean, large enough for the 6 of us. Never hear noise from our neighbors. Friends stayed a couple units over and had no complaints either.

Thanks so much for the infoDalGal.....can you give us some idea of a good location. I know when we have stayed at various complexes we have been able to find a map of the property so get an idea of building placement..we don't want to be up against any busy noisey road but still close to the pool..

I don't recall unit numbers but we stayed in a building to the right of the lobby. The building was the one closest to 192 but even sleeping in the bedroom facing the highway, I did not hear road noise. Orbit is situated a little bit off of 192, kind of behind a row of businesses. Our building was a bit of a walk from the pool but only maybe 2 minutes or so. Requesting a room closer to the pool would move you away from the highway.

Bumping as they are offering $199 for a week's stay here at endless vacations..anyone else stayed here recently?

We stayed there about 2 years ago.

It was clean and well kept. It is not fancy, and I would stay there again. It was a 2 bedroom with plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen.

It has two pools. We used the pool not near the lobby. It was clean and had plenty of seating.

The resort is compact, so everything is close.

You are close to many restaurant choices. Sherberth Rd is handy for getting to Animal Kingdom.

Again, not recent, but we've stayed there 3 times, in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We love it there. The rooms are nice and big. The location is perfect (5 minutes from Animal Kingdom) and right on the main drag of 192 close to restaurants and shops. The pool is a nice size with a slide. Last time we were there, they were in the midst of a full property rehab. We haven't seen it since they finished but I imagine if we liked it before, it must be even nicer now.

we have stayed at Orbit One 3 times in the past. We liked it and are looking to possibly go again in Oct.

Does anyone know if they still offer $5 pp Liki Tiki passes? we have never taken them up on that offer but are looking at doing it this time as we will not be getting Disney water park passes this time.
