Has anyone tried the new Legends of the sea at the Marriott next door.

If not is paradise cove the best bet for convenience. Any coupons now?

Thank you!

Hi
We just got back! The legends show I heard is awful. Your best bet is the one next door called paradise cove..

Thanks

We haven't gone yet (less than 2 weeks to go!) but we used a discount site for tickets to Paradise Cove Luau. If you do a google search for Paradise Cove Discount it's the first one that comes up... Hawaii Discount. I was a bit wary of using them, but right after I made the purchase I called Paradise Cove and they confirmed they received the reservation and we were all set.

You can also get a very similar discount through the Entertainment Book for Hawaii. This year's book is currently on sale for like $10. They also have discounts for the snorkeling tour out of the marina near Aulani as well as a variety of beach gear rental places and restaurants.

Anyone else do a luau recently?? I need to book:)

Thank you!

We did paradise cove last August. We did not like it. The food was just ok, and the show stayed so late that the kids couldn't stay up (10 and 11 years old). Plus we felt over crowded. We enjoyed the starlit hui at the resort much more than this expensive luau. The next time we go, we're going to get take out from one paddle, two paddle and eat that at the starlit hui rather than paying for a luau.

We really enjoyed the Paradise Cove luau. Our group of 10 consisted of 4 kids age 9, 12, 12, 14, two sets of parents, and grandparents. Everyone had a great time though we were pretty tired at the end. The kids liked the activities before dinner (especially the girls with making the various flowery/weaved items) and we all liked the show.

The food was fine for me and no one in the group complained but for the most part we're pretty easy going for food. I could have had an entire plate of the pork but made the mistake of filling up on some of the other items :)

The starlit hui is a much shorter show and of course, no food...but it is free. I would definitely recommend hitting that one even if you do another luau somewhere else.

Great to hear! What package did you book at paradise cove and how early should we arrive? Easy to get good seats??

We did the orchid package which was the center seating but still with the buffet (not table service). Looking at the seating once we were there I am not entirely sure it was worth it. The views from all areas seemed fine.

We arrived about 10 minutes before the gates opened. Mainly because we had a large group (10 of us) and I wanted to make sure we got seated together. The way they do it is first come first placed at the tables. They will walk your party to the seating area and give you the next group of seats in your specific area. If you arrive late it is possible there wouldn't be enough seats at the same table.

One tip: a lot of reviews complained that the bar was always crowded. There are actually two bar areas...and two areas for some of the more popular weaving/floral crafts. We found no lines at the second bar area (which is by the marketplace).

Oh, and the discount hawaii site worked fine and saved us a lot of money overall. I would definitely use them again.
