Recent grocery deliveries to HOJO?

Just curious... has anyone had groceries delivered to the HOJO recently? I have never done it (only water from staples on the last trip)... but we really need a few things and while we are still figuring out our airport transfers, I don't think we will be renting a car (that would allow us to stop at a store on the way to the airport)..

Anyway, I thought I read that some people were having delivery problems? (not necessarily at the HOJO) but just in general.

well hojos will take a delivery if you arent there to take it and the store should say if things need to be refrgirated they will do so.
I have heard vons and albertsons has been used and im going to be useing one of them water food and sodas

I have never had it done but when I was checking in Albertsons came to deliver a case of water and the employee called the room, got no answer, and accepted the delivery and said she would make sure they got it. I don't think it's a problem at all.

We didn't do HoJo, but GCH last March. I don't think it would be any different. We used Albertson's, and we used their online ordering system. It works beautifully. They delivered promptly within the 1-1/2 hour time window; the groceries were packed tightly in a cardboard box, so even the cold stuff was still cold; we got there shortly thereafter. HoJo will accept delivery, and they might even put them in your room for you if it beats you there. I would call and ask the nice people at HoJo. Talk to Lorealle if you can; she's great.

I have heard that a few people had problems with Vons getting the order right; but I've heard only good things about Albertson's. We were impressed!It was a very convenient way to get our cereal, juice, milk, fruit, yogurt and bottled water.

Ok so stick with Albertsons! I figured that hojo would accept our order, I was just worried about cold stuff... so I will plan for our first evening, when we aren't going to DL.

Next question. Should I stick to half gallon milks so that they fit in the fridge? And how many would fit? We will have just gone to whole milk for our son and I am a little nervous about having enough milk.

How much is water delivery from albertsons?

Avalon. Did you place your order before you left home and then specify a delivery time?

Yes, I placed it a couple weeks in advance, at their online ordering site. You choose a delivery date, giving the hotel address, and when you're done with your order, they show you a schedule and you pick which window of time you would like it delivered. Seems to me it's either 1 hr and 15 minute windows, or 1-1/2 hour windows. For example, our flight was supposed to get in at 4, so I chose the 4-5:30 window, I think. Our flight was delayed and we didn't get in till 6, but GCH had held it for us at the bell desk, and everything was packed so tightly it was still cold. However I have heard of other hotels even putting it up in your room for you before you get there.

I'm not sure about the size of the HoJo fridge; in pictures it looks about the same (dorm sized) as GCH. We fit a lot in there. A gallon of milk, half gallon of soymilk, half-gallon carton of Dole juice, as well as 5 cups of yogurt and as many water bottles as we could fit in the rest of the space.

I think delivery costs $9.95. So it probably wouldn't be worth it to just order water? But it sure was nice to have our breakfast stuff there in the room to grab while we got ready. We had people looking enviously at us eating our yogurt, fruit and pop tarts while we stood in line at 6:30 a.m. waiting for the gates to open for MM!

If you call the hotel and give them the heads up that you are expecting a delivery, there should be no problems

I will be arriving at HoJo's on thursday, I was thinking about ordering water from Costco to be delivered. Any ideas when I should order this?
