Has anyone done the Fantasmic reserved seating this summer? What time are people checking in to select their seats?

And, maybe a silly question, but if you're first, how do other people know that you're in line? The directions I've seen so far are "by the churro cart."

Thanks in advance!

Anyone?

We leave tomorrow morning to drive down to DLR -- hurrah!

Thanks!

I just ordered my PSs on 7/13 and the CM told me the podium by the churro cart. I knew what she was talking about because I have seen it before. She said arrive 1 hour early. Which would be 8 but I know better and will get there at 7ish LOL
I imagine they know you are in line because you check in with a CM at the podium :)
Enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2

You can;t miss the podium. The viewing area is roped off. When you walk towards the HM, the churro cart is by the fence that over looks the River of Americas. The podium is right there. I have heard posters mentioning folks lining up as early as 1 hour before the check in time. Your entire group does not need to be with you. I think if you get there around 7:30 and send your family on pirates while you wait you'll be checked in around the time they get off the ride.
BTW, you'll want to get to your seats about 10-15 minutes before F! starts so you have time to order drinks and receive them and the snack box

We're doing the 10:30 pm show and were also told to check in at 8 pm. Do we have to get there earlier, too?

You'll be in line checking in with both the 9 and 10:30 showings. If you show up right at 8 the line could be crazy long. I would get there about 7:30

Oh, get there much earlier than 7:30. DH and I got in line at 7:30 on Thurs. night for the 9 pm show and the line already went down the stairs and started going around the *corner* by the fence. You only have to have one person check in your whole party and there were a couple of people in front of us checking in parties of 5 to 7. You also have to check in for the later show at the same time.

The dragon still wasn't out on Thurs., but I don't know if that's changed. We haven't taken the time to watch another show.

We loved the show - had never seen it before and thought it was great. We were in the second row, in the very far right, center stage. Ask the CM's, they know the good places to sit and will help you figure out where the best place for your party is. We were second row - far right - right behind a mom and little girl celebrating her 6th b-day. I am short and DH is tall, so we were able to see just great. The CM's remembered who was sitting where, so we could pick a good spot. And the chairs are not lined up right in front of the next row, they sort of stagger them so you are seeing over the shoulders of the people in front of you.

If you can, get in Bora's section, she was terrific. Super nice and had tons of cool DL info and could answer questions. She filled us in on all the pertinent info and even encouraged us to sit and watch the fireworks and told us where to look for Dumbo and Tink (who didn't fly, by the way). :confused3

When my little kids are older I would consider the F! seating again. Right now I don't think they would like the show. I think they would be scared of some of the music and the scary images. I may set them up when they are 10 and 12. (they are 5 and 7 now) That should give me enough time to save up! :thumbsup2

We have dinner ADRs at 5:40 that night so I don't know that we'll get there much earlier. Maybe we should just plan to get there and be at the end of the line and take what seats we get. How bad coud any of them be?

We got to the line when we were supposed to and misse dout on front row, so won't make that mistake again. It sounds like they have lots more areas now..three? When I went there was one and the balcony was still open also..I hope they did change the seating..in the second row I couldn't see over big heads in front of me, so ended up standing at the back of the section. This time I'll be sure to go earlier..maybe bring a book..some crocheting...:)
