Recent Experience with Magical Express & FW

It has been a while since anyone posted on this board about their Magical Express experience. We are flying in at 7:30 p.m. on 10/19. We know that FW is the last on the ME busline, so we excpect is will take a while to get there.

About how long does it take (knowing that it depends on how many folks from different resorts are on the bus)?

Has anyone experience any problems with ME relative to their FW stay?

We used Magical Express on September 17 to Fort Wilderness. After landing and bathroom/diaper breaks, we left the gate at 12:30 pm. The wait at the ME counter was negligable. We waited in line for a bus for about 15 minutes. Fort Wilderness was last on the route and we were the only family going to FW.

The bus stopped at Old Key West, Port Orleans FQ, and Port Orleans Riverside before the campground. The bus driver asked everyone to stay on board at each stop until he emptied to appropriate overhead luggage stored under the bus. We arrived at FW at 2:30. The whole process took literally two hours. The return trip (September 23) was quicker even though we added Saratoga Springs to the route for pickup to the airport. The return to MCO was an hour and fifteen minutes. We were picked up at our cabin at 9:40 am for a 1:20 pm flight.

I am interested to hear other reviews from FW. Maybe we just caught it at a bad time, but I felt like FW was an afterthought for the ME system. I would use it again at other resorts, but I would not use it again for Fort Wilderness. Hopefully, others will have more positive reviews.

We will be using it on Friday -- I'll let you all know how it went when we return. I hope it doesn't take us 2 hours to get there... That's as long as the flight down from Canada!

We used the service and it worked out just fine for us.

We arrived on 10/2 at 12:30 pm...It took us about 15 minutes to check in with ME. The bus wait was about 20 minutes. Just long enough to use rest rooms and get a drink.
The ride made 2 stops before FW. That ride was about 45 minutes to an hour.
Our luggage showed up around 3:30 pm. No big deal since we opacked bathing suits in our back packs.

Leaving this past Sunday was OK too. They notified us that they would pick us up at 2:20 for a 5:15 flight.

The bus pulled in at 2:15. It took about an hour to get to Jet Blue.
It may seem like very early but it did allow for a stress free time to go through security and get the kids a quick bite before boarding.

Ifyou have a late flight going out, you can request a late checkout. We were allowed to stay in our cabin until 1:30 without any extra charge.

DFF's wife checking in here. We had a great experience with ME. From the time we checked into the ME counter to arrival at FW was 1 hour and 5 minutes. We were the last stop after OKW, POR and POFQ.
