We are sailing in February and want to book a night at Palo. We're on a SWDAS. We don't want to do it the first night, second night is usually formal night, third is usually pirate night if I recall, would the fourth night be SWDAS?

Thanks in advance!

It's been reported that the Star Wars day at sea is on Thursday for all itineraries. Another note - the Pirate night on the SWDAS cruises is a sort of Pirate nite lite. No fireworks, no pirate menu.

We are on the Eastern carib, also SWDAS, cruise a few weeks ahead of you in mid-January. Star Wars day is Thursday, we are doing Palo for dinner on the Wednesday night (St Thomas port day).

You can always do both dining. So that way you don't miss out on any of the extras. Unless you really want a second full meal in the MDR. You can just try some items on the menu.

We have done Palo at 6pm then gone to MDR for second seating so we could either dine with our kids if they were with us along with not missing anything like shows or something special on the menu. Not sure your options.

We always ask for the first possible seating in Palo so we will be finished by the time our children are ready for second seating in the MDR.
That way we don't miss out on anything. We don't eat with them just a lot of chit chat going on and a little extra time to hear about where our servers come from.

I thought of doing that, Laundress, but we have first seating. I'm not sure I could go with my kids to first seating and not fill up, thus missing out on the Palo experience on an empty stomach.

I'll admit that I'm quite confused as to how SWDAS and Pirate Night now work.

1. Are they the same day or different days?

2. What makes Pirate Night, Pirate Night? Is it just that people dress up? If there isn't a special menu nor fire works, what is there? Is there still a Pirate Show?

3. Is there a show in the evening to go with the SWDAS fireworks?

4. Do people dress up in costume for 2 evenings now?

Sorry, should be simple but for some reason I just don't know what to expect.

1. Pirate night and Star Wars DAY at sea are on different days.

2. Typically (non-Star Wars cruises), Pirate night has a Pirate show and fireworks. As well as a special Pirate menu in the MDRs (on cruises 4 nights and longer). On Star Wars cruises, as far as I know, there is still the Pirate night show on deck, but no fireworks. And the menu in the dining room is not the menu for Pirate night. The fireworks are done on Star Wars day.

3. "Show" as in on the pool deck? There was a show (Summon the Force) on the cruises this past spring.

4. If they want to.
