We cruised last year in Aug and were less than thrilled with the Morty the Magnificent show. Has anyone seen it lately? For any repeat cruisers were there any changes? How did everyone enjoy it? We are cruising again in June and if the show is the same we probably will skip it. Any comments on any changes in the other shows? We enjoyed Hercules-but you have to be familiar with the Disney movie, and of course Dreams is excellent. Thanks for your comments. Beth

Should have posted this on the cruise forum--sorry

We went to all of the shows and Morty was our least favorite and could be skipped altogether if you want to miss one. Don't miss Disney Dreams....thats the best of them all.

This is an interesting topic. I see ALOT of people don't like the Morty show at all. We cruised in October, and I must be the odd man out, because I enjoyed it. Granted, it wasn't the greatest show I ever saw, but I enjoyed it. It was cute. And I actually MISSED Disney Dreams! I see EVERYONE and their Grandma rave about that show but we had VERY rough seas that day and I couldn't venture out of my room the entire day, so when I cruise next summer, it'll be a new show to us! I have my expectations up their for Dreams, so I hope it's as good as everyone says.

We haven't seen Morty yet...just saw the show in its previous incarnation as C'est Magique. It was okay then...didn't love it or hate it, but I think people prefer shows that are more directly related to Disney. I did like it more than "Ghost Ship."
As to changes in the other shows, on the Wonder the removed Hades' monologue, which we always thought was the best part. Each Hades would make it a little unique, and it was so corny but FUNNY!! Anyone know if it is still in the show on the Magic? Since we're doing the Western 5/25, I'd like to know because if it's not, we might skip it (although we might see it anyway to compare the Magic cast with the Wonder's).

Hades was on 5/25 Herc show and DH and I both thoroughly enjoyed C'est Maqiue with Morty--I guess we are weird judging from everyone slamming it. We almost believed the posts and didn't go, but we are very glad we did!

The Morty show (saw it on the 5/18 cruise) was cute and definitely better than the original C'est Magique IMHO. Not my favourite show, but didn't think it was that bad.

We saw the C'est Magique show on our Magic cruise and didn't really care much for it so I'm sure we'll pass on the Morty show on our next cruise. We didn't really enjoy Hercules either so we'll pass on that one if it's still being done in January. I hope Disney Dreams will still be showing, we LOVED that one and are looking forward to seeing it again. It will actually be nice to be able to do "other stuff" rather than going to so many shows on our next cruise. There were things we wanted to, that we didn't have TIME for last time, so we're looking forward to doing those things on our next cruise.

My two youngest boys and I saw the matinee performance of Morty. It was a cute show but not the greatest I've ever seen. My boys really liked it.

We saw it on the 5/11 Western. My DD fell in love with all the shows and insisted on going. It was cute, but not spectacular. Put it this way, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. Would we do it again? If nothing better was going on. Would I miss something else to see it again? No.

Almost fell asleep. Took about 30 or 40 min to get to the actual magic/allusion part of the show. Could have compressed the show into about 20 minutes, as long as it was the last 20.:o

Went on the 3/23 and Morty was our least favorite. Moy kids loved the last night(Farewll Show )where they picked a child out of the audience. it was really cute.

Thanks for the replies--had hoped for a new show, or improvement. It is something I will skip on our next cruise. It was okay, but not what I'd expect from Disney.

Well, we saw Morty, and although it was okay, I actually preferred the old Cest Magique better. I can see where families and kids would probably prefer Morty tho'. Magique was more of an esoteric Cirque de Soliel-type thing, with the classical music and no speak. Morty is more traditional and has an appearance by Sorcerer Mickey, which is always a plus! There is a lot of the old Magique remaining...it reminds me of what you would get if you crossed Magique with Hercules and added a generous sprinkling of the Hoop De Doo Review. I wasn't really big on the singing, but I do enjoy the illusions. But this is the one I would skip if I had something better to do (same thing with Mouseketeer--lots of people seem to leave early from that one, as a quiz show with loooong pauses for the questions doesn't seem to hold the little ones' attention).
