When is High Tea at Palo??? Is it offered everyday or only on certain days? What time is High Tea??? :confused3

Is it worth making the time to go???

Thanks for any help.. I get to make my reservations next Sunday!! :cool1:

It is on the afternoon of sea days, around 3 p.m. You will see varied opinions, but personally I think it's well worth attending. I LOVE real (i.e. loose leaf) tea, and they have a nice variety of flavors. The finger sandwiches are good, and the scones with cream and jam are to die for! They also serve trifles and eclairs.

I took my DS (21) and DH to high tea and we loved it! It is 3-4 in the afternoon and on sea days. It was real relaxing and only about 6 tables of people. Real quiet. Plenty of food as mentioned by Barb!

Sounds like I need to go! :flower:

I will book it! Love tea and desserts!!

I met another DISer that says she will meet me for High tea. Don't think DH would want to go.

:goodvibes :goodvibes

Don't rule out DH until you ask him. You would be surprised what us husbands would do to spend time with our beautiful wives! ;)

What a good man you are.... :goodvibes He probably would like all the Desserts. I know he will love Palo for dinner too. I will ask him,but atleast I have a back up with my new DIS friend. It may be fun to do something with the girls on this trip. A lot of us have been talking on line and so it will be fun to actually meet some of the others going on this cruise. ;)

Too bad they won't let us bring our DD's to High tea. Mine (7) princess: would love it.

That's right! ;) I can try to turn down the testosterone level for an hour or so, right? And, how rough could it be if there's gonna be food? OK, so what if my idea of "finger sandwiches" are a pile of chicken tenders on a bun....I'll just look at it as something to whet my appetite for dinner! :teeth:

We've never been to Palo before, so I booked one of each, brunch, high tea, and dinner...I figured we should try each of them!

My boys really liked it. I mean, it's food....right?!! It's a good size meal too. I forgot it comes with some kind of dessert too. (something creamy in a glass).

do you go up & get the little things? or are they set up at your tables? thus, you just sit & eat? w/out having to get up, like buffet style? :flower:

They just bring everything out to you a little at a time.

We loved high tea (dh and my dad included), the scones, smothered with cream and jam are so good, I personally could just eat those and do without the finger sandwiches ;) .

The best part about it (if you are a tea fanatic like me) is that they know alot of history and detail about the particular teas they serve.
