We will be in the area next week and are debating on getting park-to-park tickets for either Monday, 9/8 or Tuesday 9/9 (just 2 adults). Our main goal would be to see the new Harry Potter stuff, but would like to take in some over favorites as well.

Any thoughts on how crowded it may be at that time? Any suggestions for strategy to get the most in? We are staying off site and won't have express pass.

Thanks!

Crowd levels for your days are 2s, so only the headliners are likely to be busy :)

The first hour after opening is great - most rides are a walk on, except the HP stuff. Have you got early entry?

We stepped off a plane and went to DA 1st thing on Friday (probably the busiest day for a while). Happy to report that everything is manageable and nowhere near as crazy as I imagined. We did spell casting on both sides, rode the HE in both directions, made potions, had lunch at the leaky cauldron, and even rode Transformers. This was our 1st time without Express and everything was great. My only complaint is that they gotta get Gringotts working. We are headed in for EA in the morning and we hope to stuff our wands in our pockets and run on gringotts.

I haven't heard anyone mention making potions before. Where is that? We are huge Harry Potter fans but kids are pretty young (5 and 8) and a little nervous about roller coaster type rides, so we are mostly looking forward to the non-ride HP stuff.

There is a street concession stand in Diagon Alley selling Gilly Water and Potions. You pick different potions (different flavors of syrup) and then mix them in a bottle of Gilly Water or if you wish to tempt fate, with your own muggle bottled water.

G’day

So, were they good?? We didn't like Butterbeer in any form, so I'm thinking the kids will want to try some of these. I will probably stick to the pumpkin fizz!! Mmmm

My personal preference is Frozen butter beer, followed by the Mint (green) Elixir and Gillywater. To me, pumpkin juice is the worst! The books make it sound so appetizing but no. Just no.

Have fun!! It's great with LOs, my 6yo and I just got back from an amazing HP trip.

I liked the pumpkin fizz better than butterbeer..........the girl behind the counter let me try it before I bought one as I wasn't sure I would like it........I did :)

I actually love the pumpkin juice and the fizz. I'm kind of a big pumpkin fan in general, though :) Is the Gillywater just water or is it carbonated/soda water? DD loves mint choc Chip ice cream, so mint might work for her. Anybody tried any of the other potion flavors?
