Received the ultimate upgrade!!!

Hello, we are just back from our annual 2 week trip to Disney and I just wanted to share my experience at the Yacht Club. Each year we drive down to Disney in August and usually stay at a suite hotel or time share the first week and on-site the second week. This year we were very disappointed with our accommodations at the Marriott Cyprus Harbour Resort so we decided at the last minute to spend the last 2 nights of our first week on-sight. I called and the only passholder rate I could get was for a waterview room at the Yacht Club, so we took it. Upon check-in the CM mentioned what a nice room we had. I couldn't believe it but they actually gave us the Presidential Suite!!! Luxurious is an understatement - what an experience! After our 2 nights at the YC we floated on over to AKL for our second week. We had a fantastic trip. You never know when a little pixie dust is going to come your way!

Congratulations on your awesome upgrade, the yacht club is great!! Just curious about Cypress Harbour as we are staying there in about a week and a half, we have never stayed there before, we will be there 7 nites, then on to the Contemporary for 2 nites.

That exact same thing happened to us at the BC in Oct. '02. We were there for 5 nights, originally had booked a 2 bedroom villa at the BCV and they oversold so we were the lucky ones who got the Presidential Suite. It was an amazing experience!!! Gotta love that pixie dust!

It really was beautiful, I hope the pictures do it justice. I wrote a note to the manager of the YC thanking him for the extra Disney magic and the special memories. We really enjoyed every aspect of the YC.

We were staying at Cypress Harbour in a 2 bedroom unit on a 4 night pkg with the requirement to listen to their timeshare presentation and I added 2 additional nights on. We were originally put into room 6326. The outside of the building was riddled with all sorts of bugs and dirt, there were stains on the rugs, splatters all over the kitchen ceiling, spider webs all over, cracks in the floor, light fixtures missing, stains on the kitchen and bathroom counters, dirt on the coffee tables, stains on the couches and chairs ... We called immediately and complained but really didn't get much of a response. We spent one night there and then I took digital photos of everything and went to the women running the timeshare presentations. They apologized and were able to find us a different room, I think it was in Bldg 50. What a difference. The second room we were given was beautiful and clean. They said that the original building we were in was on the list for refurbishment. They agreed to refund the additional 2 nights we had added on so that is how we ended up at the YC. I hope that your experience is a good one.

going to disney with son for first time...he is IN LOVE with nemo....want to know where that large dory & marlin are (they are in the photo "tnkrbell" has on her posting above).

We were at the CR last week and were upgraded to the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE, too!!!!



I'm happy to hear when others get a super upgrade, too!

The nemo background in tnkrbell's signature is in front of The Living Seas at Epcot. Inside the exhibit there is a section with all of the fish from the movie.

I was just wondering if you guys who got the upgrade checked in early or late? Just wanting some pixie dust my way for an upgrade. How awesome for you guys. In my experience you are very lucky because I have never received an upgrade or honestly even the room I requested because we always check in late after long day of driving.

Been so many times and never received anything like this.
Early or late check-ins have never been a difference for us.

I think it was simply "lady luck" smiling on us!

Magical Moments DO happen at WDW! Jo-Jo and I are proof of that!
