Received gift card for decling housekeeping

I'm not sure if this is the right area to post, but this morning I woke up to a $60 gift card from Disney that I can only assume was meant for me declining housekeeping for my trip in December. Did anyone else have a glitch give them their gift card today?

Yes! Got one today for (I assume) declining mousekeeping. $100 for a 11 night stay at ASMu in September. What is going on?

I must have missed this! How do we decline housekeeping? :O I would also like to decline it for my December stay.

I'm sure I could figure it out tinkering around the website, but of course you can hardly get in right now

In MDE it's under My Reservation>Modify Your Check-In. Then under Housekeeping Service you can select to opt out. I am in the EU and I can do this without going to the website, but I am already logged in. Good luck!

When you start your check in online there is a place you can mark to decline mousekeeping..
The app works seemless right now btw

That's pretty sweet that they are giving the gift cards well before arrival now. You could even just apply that toward your trip cost. Nice!

Ohh! I had been ignoring doing the online check-in because I figured it was something I needed to do on my arrival day, but now I see that would have really set me back a bit.

ETA: I'm probably going to wait until after I'm sure I can manage to get tickets (I'm currently a room only reservation), because it would be silly to get the gift card and then have to give it back in the event that I have to cancel because I can't get a reservation later. Buh.

We're more than likely canceling our trip, but have just been waiting to see how everything plays out the next few months. Hopefully they can just cancel the gift card at that point, as I'd rather not be charged for a gift card I no longer need/have a use for.

I got a gift card today as well, but it didn't tell me why, it was just like "here's your gift card!" with no explanation for what it was for/from.

Just apply it to your balance
Last March our reservation had issues and the cm had to redo it... it immediately cancelled our giftcard for housekeeping. I did not know that untill i was trying to use it in a store...
They were apologetic and helped me out right away.. but i still caused a new line to form in the middle of a busy store

Thank you so much for posting this! I was also baffled by my gift card email today--my past trips I've gotten them after arriving at the resort. Glad to get it early to be able to apply it to my balance.

Looks like it was a "glitch" lol. I got an email last night that said it was sent in error and it's been voided.

The only problem is I added it to my disneygiftcard website and already moved the balance to another card. So I still have it. So I guess they will just have to note my account that we don’t get one at check in. I don’t know....

Well the email that was sent voiding they accidental card stated it would be sent at time of check in

Just relaying info I saw, it's on 'Doctor Disney' website June 22 reported on Tikiman's page.
