Received a strange message from Disney re: my fastpass selection

I have a fastpass for Toy Story Mania on July 22nd from 7:25-8:25pm (have had it for weeks) and just received an email for Disney saying the time slot is no longer available so I can use my magicband at any attraction at any point during the day for any tier 1 attraction. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. It specifically says not to go back and make a new fastpass reservation - it is not needed.

The new "Frozen Fireworks" shows have been added (more info HERE) and the cinder-fallout from them impacts the TSM area.

They close the attraction queue for quite awhile before the fireworks begin.

It is because of the Frozen fireworks show.

Thanks. Just read the other post. Only thing is that there will be hundreds of additional people squeezing into that ride now earlier in the day with a flex fastpass. But frozen fireworks is a nice perk! Plus 2 Fantasmic shows! Woohoo!

You don't have to do ANYTHING.

The change they made allows you to simply walk up to any one of the FP+ attractions (including TSM)
and use your MagicBand (or RFID ticket) to enter the FP+ queue at any time (a ride is operating) that day.

That only works one time that day. Your other FP+ selections remain unchanged.

Yep... the only downside to the Frozen fireworks!

So my only concern is that now when I go to My Disney Experience, I only have 2 Fastpasses for my HS day. They have completely removed that FP from my itinerary. I am defiantly printing the letter and bringing it because I can see there being monumental issues with trying to use a magicband anytime during the day without something.............

Got the same email. I think it will be great to use the TSMM fastpass anytime we want and not be tied down to the hour slot.

In my MDE account, the TSMM FP+ is gone, but it is replaced by a generic FP+ reservation.
