Received a Pin Code Yesterday

Imagine my excitement when I opened a promo flyer from Disney and saw a Pin Code that everyone talks about. E-mailed our travel agent to see if we could use it and she said it ended this August. Since the brochure said December, I called Disney myself. She said the code did exist but the price was the same as the one we currently have. I thought they were supposed to save you money?

Was the code a 3 digit code? If so, it was not a discount. It was just a flyer for marketing purposes. It was for rack rates. A true PIN will be 15 digits and state "up to XX% off" or mention free dining. To my knowledge, there are no.active PINs out right now.

There are new pins. They came out today. They follow the broad offer with a greater tiered discount.

The real pin is for the dates as the summer offer, but starting 4/28. There is another thread with a report of the price difference between the summer offer and the pin, but it is very minimal. Hopefully that poster didn't mess up the room type when comparing the two. Very strange pin...

ETA: DH got the PIN in his email an hour ago. Not sure we will use it because we like to go in October, but I will play around with it to see if it saves much. We always stay at POP, so I doubt the savings will be worth the extra crowds and heat.

Priced out a trip with the PIN, and the price is $50 more than a rack rate trip for the same package in October. Passing on this one.
