Received a December pincode

in the mail today. The deal is 20% off resorts and it goes until Dec. 21.

I've been a free dining fan for quite a while; so, I'm not interested in this code.

I do feel the percent off is not enough, either.

I sure hope the deals get better as we get closer to the time.

The best I will say here is at least a discount is being offered and it's why I posted.

Yeah, doesn't sound good to me neither. We are thinking a possible October trip if a good discount comes out, don't think 20% is good. But be prepared for the critics here that are about to give you the " Disney doesn't OWE you ANY discount".

If I were you I'd still apply the discount sooner than later. You can always take a discount off your reservation to apply a "better" discount. But the way they word the fine print on the pins is that a certain number of rooms are reserved for that offer, if you call later, and they are booked, then you'd be out 20%.

I won't even consider going to Disney World with that discount. I need a better deal to go there. We're in a position where I can wait it out or not go at all if it gets down to it.

I've expanded my wings lately with different vacations and I'm starting to see the light beyond Disney World with vacations.

I like Disney World and we have over 30 trips there, but I need a better deal to go there again. I'm pretty stubborn about this, now.

There was one time I paid full price for Disney and that was the millenium year and discounts were hard to find. I wanted to be there that year with our grandchildren; so, we did it. I will not pay full price ever again; I'd rather not go.

I'm hooked on Disney World, but not at all costs.

WE got 35% bounceback for deluxe resorts when we were there in January. 20% wouldn't be enough for us to use. WE usually have free dining, but since we have tickets already, I hate that you have to buy 2 days of tickets for the free dining. So, I think we will stick with 35% off at AKL and just pay out of pocket. WE plan on using our disney rewards card for many meals.

I just got a "resort offer" for December. The moderate price listed is $174 S-Th, that's MORE than normal prices ($169 a night). I'm hoping for something better. LOL.

We just received this same pin too. I'm really excited b/c it's the first pin we've gotten in 7+ months, but disappointed that it's only 20%.

I booked under that same pin, knowing I'd rather have free dining - we'll be there for 12 nights 4 Disney adults/1kid - FD would be a better deal for us! Our back up plan (if no FD or 30% comes along) is to book half the trip at a Downtown Disney area hotel and use the savings for the other parks in Orlando and then stay on site for 6 nights for Disney parks.

OP, I agree, 20% off isn't good enough. We were at WDW Dec 2011 with free dining and 20% off was the bounce back offer, it just wasn't that great. If they would have offered free dining though as a bounce back, I would have booked again right there on the spot. Now I'm waiting for FD again in Dec, BUT if it doesn't happen, then we just won't go to WDW.

Just saw this via email under my DBF's name so I booked it. It's the only offer that either of us have seen or gotten for our December dates, so I figured I might as well save something! $165 isn't the greatest, but it's something! Still on my knees praying for FD though!

Got an email from Disney Destinations today detailing the free dining for late fall into December but my dates are black out dates. Planning to travel 12-1 through 12-7 and those are not included in the free dining so I will continue hoping for some other discount pin code

I so agree. I am currently booked on a bounceback of 30% which for our CBR stay, saves us around $600. I booked with that and its for certain better than nothing, but for my family of four, fd saves us far more, even with paying rack rate.

Its funny, I have never gotten pins. But I saved an offer or two and have now gotten a pin via my email and just tonight got one snail mail. For a 30% off a room which I already have with my bounceback.

Maybe now that I am in the "pin system", I'll get lucky and get the offer I really want. If, not well at least I have the 30%. My rack rate days are over and 30% is the lowest offer I'll book with. We'll see what happens.

Could you list all the black out dates ? I hoping our dates are not blacked out and I have not gotten any pins or anything yet. We are hoping for the public free dining during our stay.
