Recall: Payless "Crocs", toddler sizes

I'm sorry if someone's already posted this (I searched and didn't see it), but some of the Payless "Crocs" knock-off shoes have been recalled. I also apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, but since Crocs and Crocs knock-offs are commonly discussed in this forum, I thought it would be a good place.

My DD had some. We took them back to the store hoping for an exchange, but the new-and-improved versions aren't available yet (at least at our store). They gave me a cash refund though, for the entire purchase price, including tax. I thought that was pretty nice since DD's were obviously worn.

Did you have the original box and receipt when they gave you the refund? Because my DD loved them so much as soon as we got them (wore them out of the store) I doubt I have that stuff anymore, just wondering if it is worth a trip to the store.

Nope. My DD also wore hers out of the store, and I have no idea where the receipt is. I just had the shoes and they gave me the refund... no questions asked.

A friend of mine had a little bit of trouble taking hers back (different store) but it worked out in the end. Her store told her they could exchange w/o the receipt, but to get cash back you had to have your receipt. She called Payless Corporate offices and was told that was *not true*. You can get refund or exchange (customer choice) and you don't need the receipt. She went back to the store...and they gave her the refund.

Apparently the shoes are only sold at Payless, so there's really no question of where you bought them.
