Rebooking

I was wondering does what all does DCL give you if you rebook a cruise while on one? I am planning on taking my first DCL cruise in 2006 and I was wondering should I save a little bit more to take advantage of the rebooking incentives? I have read about a lot of people rebooking so I would like to know can anyone help??

As a former CM, I've been told that the best pricing a guest can ever get is by rebooking while onboard.

(Of course, that was precluding hurricane pricing. )
