What are the advantages to rebooking while onboard? do you still pay the$200 per person deposit?, how far in advnce can you book in advance?

You can get an early booking discount which is usually around 10% plus an onboard credit of $100 per stateroom for a 3 or 4 day and $200 for a 7 day.

The deposit which is due when you book is $200 per person for a 3 or 4 day and $250 per person for a 7 day.

You can book usually 15 - months in advance depending DCL's reservation system. Anything further then that has to be faxed to Inventory Control. The deposit is not due until the dates come available in the reservation system.

Inventory Control will call you to see if you are still interested in the dates you requested and if so you would book them then.

PinClubs : About the deposits? They are due at time of Booking if you book while you are on the cruise. I booked for two people for the 7 Day Western in August of 2006 and had to give the 500,00 depoit. I have a third person coming but I will do that at a later date I won't get the discount but not want to give them any more money). What they do so that I can take advantage of the 10% and 200 stateroom credit put it on a December 0f 2005 cruise. When the dates for August of 2006 become available they will transfer and I will be able to keep the on board booking 10% and 200 credit. I also wanted a specific stateroom. That was not available so that put that in the system so that I have a change of getting it when the August of 2006 become available.

I had to do the same as wltdsnyfan for an anticipated July 2006 cruise. I was told the 3 & 4 night cruises don't get the 10% discount. There were alot of dates that were sold out so we only booked for 2006. But I wonder if a travel agent has a block booked and you switched to them would you get the discount and onboard credit?

If you dno't mind me asking, how much are you paying? We are getting our cruise at 799.00 (Cat. 11) , would we be rebooking at the same price with a 10% discount? I am just trying to figure out if you are getting the best price- or should you wait?

Thanks,
Louise

When I received my paper work I went to Disney web site. I put the dats of the cruise they put us on ( till 2006 come out). It came out to be a tiny bit more then 10% in the savings. Hope this helps. I figure it this way. The on board credit will pay for most of the Tips. The 10$ helps to
