I know the benefits of rebooking while on board. But, I am planning our next cruise in Feb 2007, so that our youngest will be 3 to enjoy the activities that disney has to offer. i see that the reservations are only being taken thru dec 2006, so will i just rebook a random date and transfer my ressies when the dates become available?

Yes. That's what I did on my last cruise (I booked Dec 05, then transferred it to 06 when the schedule came out). You will be able to retain all of your onboard booking benefits.

How does this work-- if you book for 2006 with the intention of switching to 2007, would you just get the 10% discount off the 2007 prices? Is there any downside to booking and changing later? (No cancellation/change fees, right? I can't remember.) Is there a limit on how many times you can switch dates? Say you want to go in 2008, can you just keep switching when the new dates become available? Just curious...

We just rebooked onboard. No fees if you move the reservation to another date as long as it's outside of the 75 day cancellation period, and you can carry the 10% and $200 onboard credit.

So you could move the reservation forward more than once? Or is there a time limit?

We didn't specifically ask the question about changing the date more than once. No such limitations mentioned to us when we were rebooking, either. My understanding is that you can carry the discount and credit as long as your update to the reservation is considered "changing" instead of "cancelling".
