The DH and I were thinking of booking a 7-night cruise if all goes well on our first cruise next week. I had some questions about this, so I was wondering if there was anyone here who had done this before. First I know I read here that if you do book then you can take advantage of a 10% discount along with a $200 shipboard credit. Also, someone had mentioned that you could transfer the ressie to your TA. Do you know if I were to make a ressie on my upcoming cruise, would I be able to transfer it to the Dreams Unlimited TA that is the sponsor here?? I've looked around their website, and it seems as though they may be a good TA to deal with. Can anyone offer any advice on this?

TIA!! :earboy2:

We just did that. We sailed on the 12/18 cruise and while onboard booked a 2006 cruise. When we came back I transferred the reservation to Dreams and qualified for their rebate. The best of both worlds and I've always gotten great service from Dreams.

Thanks for the reply. From what I've read here, Dreams Unlimited seems to give great service, so I was thinking that I would go with them.
I do have a couple more questions...how would I go about transferring a ressie to DU?, and don't you get perks for being a returning cruiser? I was just wondering if I would still get the "perks" since I booked this first cruise on my own thru DCL, and then would be transferring the 2nd to a TA.
Thanks again! :cool1:

you get the return cruiser perks (beach towel & pins in your stateroom) regardless of who you book through....

Not only did we transfer, DCL put it right on the reservation and had it all set up to go.

The reservationist (can't remember her name) said "I see you booked this cruise through Dreams, would you like to use them again."

I can't remember for sure, but I think Dreams got an email from DCL to do the switch and I just need to say "yep."

Another thing to keep in mind is that you can book, than switch your reservations around. We wanted a 2006 cruise before the dates were released. We booked 2005 and then switched. So don't worry about having the dates for the next one set.
