Points assigning question. We have a 200 March uy contract we just got. It has March 2021 banked points and full 2022 points. We have a another contract waiting on ROFR and are fairly confident will pass but probably won't get points until later in June. That contract is also March uy, 160 banked 2021 points and full 2022 points.

I want to book studios for Jan 2023 at home resort that are available now. If I book using. MARCH 2022 points on the 1st contract, can I switch the points over to the banked 2021 points when we get them on the 2nd contract? Again, both contracts are same home resort and use year. I think they would be the same membership, too

Interesting. Seems like this should work, assuming it’s the same member number. You might even be able to do it online, just change the order of contracts it is pulling from.

Yes, it can be done. When the second contract finally loads you can modify the reservation online. Do not change the dates or anything other than to include the second contract by checking it off on the "contracts to use" screen. It will appear as is points from the first contract will still be the only ones taken but in the end, all banked points from both contracts will be taken before any current (2022) points. Just go through the modification process to the end.

Definitely will work. Just make sure you have included your current membership number on all the paperwork.

I also follow up with an email to MA once I know it has closed with the information to be sure the contract is added to my membership.

If it's possible, try to book two separate reservations. One that will use the 2021 banked points and one that will use the 2022 points. Then, when the second contract closes, you should be able to go in and "modify" the reservation with the 2022 points so that it pulls from the 2021 banked bucket from the second contract.

@Sandisw - Do you know for sure if this is how the "modification" would work? I think I've heard this should work, but I've never actually done it myself.
