Reassigning a magic band

I have 2 magic bands assigned to my AP, and I would like to reassign the extra that has never been used to my grandson. He does not have and AP, but does have a 4 day ticket. I have been told different ways to try, but so far it doesn’t seem to move! Can someone suggest procedures? TIA

The only way to do this is to call Disney IT and ask them to do it -- I assigned a band to the wrong person in my group and IT reassigned it for me, BUT that was due to it never being used for admission yet. If yours is already associated with your AP account it may not be possible, but you can call and ask. Good luck.

Normally, not possible. Your MB is your MB forever. This is not the same as their fixing one assigned in error.
But, it's never a problem to ask. Worse that can happen is you waste time on hold and they say no.

You cannot reassign a magic band once it has been linked to someone.
If it were brand new in package and never linked to an account THEN you could assign it to someone.
I suggest if youw ant your grandson to have a magic band that you purcahse one for him or if you are staying onsite he will receive a complimentary one.

Would agree with above. Once its been assigned and used, i don't think it can be assigned to a different person.
All you can do is call and ask. Worst case, they say no.
