Yay! We're going to Disney World in May!!! May 21-28, to be exact. The week before Memorial Day Weekend. Anyone know if this time of the year is particularly busy/slow/business-as-usual??? Weather reports???

Anyway, after much research and deliberation, we've decided to stay at the Coronado Springs Resort. Please make me fall desperately in love with this place!!! Shower me with reasons why this is the best choice we could have made.

There will be four of us: hubby, me, 5-year-old, and 2-year-old. The younger will turn THREE on this trip ... another YAY!

I can hardly wait. I received our confirmation in the mail just yesterday. We've requested Cabanas building 9A or 9B; I hope we get one of those locations.

Anyway, I'm so glad for this board. I'll be around quite a bit these next few months as I scope out discount codes and search for tips. Nice to "meet" all of you!!!

We went there and LOVED it--- the Pepper Market food court offers tons of options for many different types of eaters--- your kids will LOVE the pool there-- it is GREAT---they have a place for little kids too---- You will enjoy the theme of the resort and the weather should be quite nice for you.

Enjoy! :flower: :sunny: :sunny:

We love CSR! So many reasons this is our favorite mod. resort -

Pool area is great - nice and big, lots of seating, pool bar you can order food at also and get drink refills, nice kiddie pool, sand and playground area.

People say this resort is spread out but it's all from the perspective of where your room is located and what you are most concerned about. We were in a Cabana building b/c we wanted close to pool. It was a 5 min walk to food court which was enjoyable in the am for breakfast. But then our room was close to pool which we spent alot of time at and we could get drinks there and food for lunch. We wanted to be closer to pool area than anything to go back and forth for naps, etc. We don't mind the walk for meals.

Make sure to relax on the beach area in a hammock or rent a surrey bike - very enjoyable!!!

I'll see you there - going at the same time. This will be my second stay at CSR if that tells you anything! The first time I've "returned" to a resort.

We stayed at CSR this past June with our then 11 month old son. I thought it was very kid friendly. The rooms are big enough for roaming kids and the pool was quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Have a great time.

Check out the pics on my website and you will see why its easy to love CSR. Best pool of all the moderates, no shared transportation, a terrific food court and many deluxe amenities. You'll have a great time!

Strolling around the lake is one reason to fall in love with CSR. Look for the Hidden Mickey in the sidewalk near the marina...my daughter found it and I got a cute pic of our two kids' faces on the cement by the Mickey!

Night time looking acorss the lake is like heaven! Beautiful, lush landscaping and El Centro is really nice!

LOVED THIS RESORT. Last April was our 1st trip to WDW and we stayed here. We were very impressed. The rooms were clean and I like the layout of the buildings. They are not on top of each other. Your kids will love the pool. My DD7 and DS 5 loved it, especially the slide. Have a great stay! ::MinnieMo

The CSR is fantastic!! We stayed there for the 1st time this past November and absolutely fell in love with the place! Wait until you see the pool and the hot tub!! Also, the Pepper Market food court is great. Have a great trip!!

The CSR has little cart that bell service takes you to your room. Also if they are empty and going your way, you can flag them down and they will pick you up.
CSR has been our favorite moderate since it has opened. We alway recommed it to friends and family and they come back loving it. It is a beautiful resort, with lots of amenties that other moderates don't have.
Enjoy!

Having stayed at all the moderate resorts, CSR has the best bus service, IMO.
That is, if you like to sit, on your bus ride after time in the parks.

Oh...good food and a fun pool!

I was wondering whether to use our hire car going around the World or to use the bus service. 2 Sons (5 and 11) get bored waiting, but its nice for DH to have a rest from driving (I only drive on the left :guilty:  ). I'm particularly worried about our 8.05 PS at Chrystal Palace - could we drive it in 10-15 mins or should we get the bus and allow the 45 mins+ as recommended by the CM who took my booking?

I suggest that you use the bus service. CSR has terrific bus transportation. Character breakfast buses start at 7:00am and since your going to the Magic Kingdom for the Crystal Palace breakfast, it will be easier if you take the bus because the closest you can get to the Magic Kingdom is the parking lot located at the TTC.

Buzz2001 really has a wonderful website that I visit when I'm jonesing for CSR. We think it is the most beautifully themed. I was recently doing a new guided meditation CD and I had to think of a place that was beautiful and totally relaxed me and CSR was the first to come to mind.

The Pepper Market has a wonderful selection. Looking at other resorts menus, they clearly have the most variety.

I agree with racheltyler about location - it is spread out but you just need to decide what you want to be close to. We like to eat a late dinner after the parks and just crash so being close to El Centro was important.

Definitely try a frozen margharita! They are the best I've ever tasted.

We are heading to CSR for the first time on October.. I can't wait.. All the picts make it look like it will be the perfect place for DH and I to spend our time when we aren't in the parks..
