I convinced my brother (25) to go to WDW with me next winter! Looking for suggestions for some good table service (food/atmosphere) that are at or under $30 a person. Id like to take him to one character meal - I think he'd like Garden Grill.
In the parks would be best.
Thanks!

I know you said in the parks would be best, but a short walk away is Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club resort.

Great burgers and fries, plus awesome ice cream, its only a short walk from Epcot.

I think Biergarten is pretty cheap for a buffet. I think it's $23.99/person for dinner and cheaper for lunch. Sci Fi has also been pretty cheap for us at lunch as well.

Haven't tried it but people rave about the reasonable buffets at Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness. Another option is to share a non AYCE meal somewhere. We frequently split steaks ad other entrees. If you tell them when you order sometimes the kitchen will split and plate it for you.

Remember lunch is usually cheaper than dinner.

Another vote for the Biergarten. Great atmoshphere with a wonderful show. This is not a character meal though.

If you're looking for a character meal, try Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. We are NOT fans of the Garden Grill, but a lot of people like it.

Absolutely agree here, you can eat just as well, sometimes the same food for much less. We have also found that those big meals at night were just too much and that we prefer to eat big at lunch. Walking it off all day, and then a lighter dinner. Also gives us the flexibility in evening where we like it to watch night shows, hop to another park, or leave early if we are too tired to stay....and we haven't messed up our ADRs.

Go to the Dining section above with menus and you can compare the lunch and dinner menus/prices.

Whispering Canyon Cafe in the WL is good (the all you can eat skillet is a great deal, so are the bottomless milkshakes.) Trail's End at fort wilderness is great too - you get the same chicken and ribs and hoop dee doo, plus other choices (its a buffet) at a bargain price. Boma is great too. Ohana (again - a short ride away from the MK, on the monrail) is awesome! I like Biergarten and crystal palace as well, if you are looking in a park only.
