Reasonable plan to stay at airport Hyatt one night before?

We have a lot of trouble with flights - really only a single nonstop option available for us, and it arrives after dinnertime, so probably doing an entire day of flying with connections. Figure we might as well just crash somewhere basic that night, then start at WDW refreshed and ready the next day. We want to use the magic express transportation from the airport to the resort, though.

Could we stay at the airport Hyatt, wander back down and hang out at the baggage claim area to meet the magic express? Would I need to give a flight number associated with a flight actually arriving that day when reserving the magic express? I'm not sure how to work it, and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

With your flight situation that sounds like a great plan. You can give ME a flight number for a flight coming in early that next AM. Then when you wake up, grab your luggage and head to the ME area and you are on your way nice an early! We have done it once and it worked out great.

dansdad is correct. DO NOT just wander down. And DO NO hang out at the baggage claim area. You want to be up and moving early so you can get to your resort and into the parks. And baggage claim is no where near where the ME desk is. Since you will be arriving a day early, best thing to do is NOT put the yellow DME tags on your luggage. Pick them up from baggage claim so you will have them that night. Then bring them with you on the DME bus.
