Reasonable March Break flights??

Um....... I need a flight from either Toronto to Orlando or Buffalo to Orlando on March Break. I was waiting for Air Tran & Southwest to release their flights. They just did. Does it normally cost so much????????????

Can you recommend other airlines to check? Do prices go up or down?

If you keep an eye on Allegiant air out of Niagara Falls, ny. Lots of extra fees but we did get $69.00 flights each way one year. I lucked out this year and through a glitch on hipmunk.com got Jetblue for 125.00 on the 7th and the same for the return on thr 15 th. Check southwest from rochester as well and into Tampa instead of Orlando.

We just booked our Mrach Break flights, I got up at 7:15 Monday morning and was just able to snag some of the last $269 flights from BUF to MCO. It worked out to be about half the price to fly out of Toronto...

Normally no. But it is March Break. You aren't going to get the $100 each way pricing during that time. Comparison for you. In March we paid 2k for the four us us during the break. In Orlando right now. Paid $800 for this trip for the 4 of us. Large part of it is demand.

all the airlines I am looking at are about $800 pp round trip from Buffalo to MCO. Is there one that is usually cheaper then the others? $800 x 4 is a lot!

I booked BUF-FLL (Not exactly MCO, but usually the same price area), on the 26th when SW opened their schedule....1100 for 3. Today I looked to add a flight on the same flights and it was almost 900 for 1.

Depends when your March break is, I find the later in March the more expensive.

I just booked Southwest out of BUF March 5-12. $749.40 US total for three ($249 US each). Both flights are non stop return.

If you can be flexible and don't mind if the kids miss a few days of school then mid-week is less expensive. I booked March 10-19, so the Monday of March break and my kids will miss three days of school since the return flight is the following Wednesday. I paid $230US per person on Southwest. Try using their Low Trip Fare Calendar that shows you the least expensive flight for every day in the month you are looking at. Good luck.

To get out of those high prices you will have to fly mid-week and to be honest i think the prices are all just going up now. It will absolutely be cheaper from the states. Taxes alone in Toronto are the same prices as some US flights. We are pulling the kids from school again this year on Wed March 5 (good this year as Friday is a PA day) and we come home Thursday the 13th. We fly out of buffaloes direct on JetBlue $360pp tax included. If you see a flight for less than 400 grab it. That's a bout as good as you get in March.
