Looking for a good restaurant to take children. My grandchildren are coming to fo. for their first visit. They are 6 and 2 years old. Any suggestions? I hear that the one with Mickey and the characters is pretty good. Where is it located in Disney? Also, anyone know about discounts on tickets? We are only going for 2 days. I am a Fl. resident and buying all the tickets, so do I get discounts on only mine, or on all of them? Thanks for any help/

For tickets you can get discounts on kids but not adults that aren't FL residents. The 2 yr old will be free getting into the park and Chef Mickey's (located in the Contemporary Resort) just outside MK. If you are going to be staying onsite as a FL resident you can get some good room rates for up to 3 rooms. When you make any plans through Disney always let them know you are a FL resident.

If you going to the Magic Kingdom the younger kids tend to really like the Pooh & friends meal at the Crystal Palace. Just make sure you make ADR for any Char Meals.

Good restaurants to take children at the ages you cited would be character meals. One, for the characters. Two, their buffets so you are bound to find something within the offerings the kids will like. The meals are a little pricey, but there is also a little of entertainment value involved too.

Kids often have a favorite character so this might also impact what character meal may be of interest too.

Make sure you bring your camera if you select one of these options.

we hope to bring our then 2 yr old gb next trip and some made the comment to look for meals with humanface characters( ie the princesses) as they are less intimidating than whole characters ( ie chip and dale). (our kids were older when we first went.)

During our last visit our youngest was 8 months old.

She loved Chip & Dale, Mickey Mouse and other "whole characters' more than human face ones. She also responded to specific rides...like It's A Small World. She also remembers her trip to WDW...at least the parts she treasures.

Kids respond to Disney characters differently, so age by itself is not the driving factor.
