Reason for difference in pricing for Disney photography?

Does anyone know why international couples are given a high res cd of their images from Disney Photography and American couples have to pay $1,000? Just curious.
Also, I am two weeks out from my wedding and have not heard from Disney Photography regarding an invoice on my package. I've emailed with no response (I think someone may be on vacation). Should I be worried?

I don't know why international couples get the CD, we decided we would just wait three years and then get it!
If you want I can PM you the number of the person to contact for photography!

I asked the same question to DPS and the response was that internation couples are given a different package. Maybe it is priced differently? I think it may be because Disney doesn't want to pay the shipping for the pictures... who knows!

Oh, I got an answer on my second question. Things are running a bit behind still around WDW with all the hurricanes and such, but they have not forgot about me! whew!

i think we get as part of our package as its included in with the whole price! Maybe we pay a different amount and its already paid for in that, im not sure?

We are getting married this December and have booked our photography through DPS. As we come from the UK we were told that we would receive the full resolution CD with our photography package. We were told that this is because it is less hassle for them when it comes to us ordering reprints. They said that we can use the CD to produce our own reprints when we return to the UK. I think its all to do with the cost and hassle of shipping them.
Is that how much it is $1000!!!! That seems expensive.
