We are cruising on April 10, so it might even be too late to add the REAS package to our trip. Anyway, we are booked on the cruise using our DVC points. If I am able to add this package, would I call Disney directly, or MS to book this? I hadn't planned on going with the REAS originally, but the more I read about it, the more I think it will be worth it!

We are sailing on April 17. We also booked the cruise using DVC points. I called DVC last week and added this on to the cruise, just have a credit card handy to pay for it. At that time they said someone would call me to schedule things. I asked for a phone number anyway since we did this so close to sailing. Not a problem they gave me a phone number. I then called the person from DCL and booked my Palo diner and brunch, spa ressies and even by dining roatation.

Just be prepared to be on hold for a while.

Good Luck

We are also booked on DVC points for a May cruise. If you dont mind me asking, what was the approx cost to add this to the reservation thru DVC?

You should be able to add this option up till a week before your cruise.

I wouldn't wait too long to book it, if you want this package or you might not be able to get the days/times you request for either Palo or Spa (especially if the ship is near or at capacity!)

No additional cost for using DVC - same cost for all cruisers. BUT give DVC a while to think about it and they will probably come up with a way to charge us for it!!

I am sooo disgusted with DVC right now! Does it show????? Sorry! Not all "pixie dust" and "dreams" - when I booked my REAS, DVC said I would get a letter telling me how to contact DCL for the days/times. I waited and waited. When I called them, they said it was mailed out on March 8. That was 21 days ago and had I not got frustrated on March 19 and called, I'd still be waiting for that DVC letter. (Plus when I changed from Mom to Tom back this past summer - I was charged $75.00 for paperwork - yes, we are all aware that this is publicized as a fee -but $75.00 to do what????? To delete one name and add another....a less than 15 second job and how many months out.....9??????

Furthermore, I was told that travel agents can get their passenger's selections as soon as they request the REAS - and heard of cruisers who book directly with DCL also get this done - why the wait...because we are DVC?????

Just not impressed with the services were are given with the DVC.
In my opinion, it's just a matter or time before they figure out that that is a "change" and start charging for it.

Gee, Rae
My TA said I'd have to wait until the DCL special promotions department contacted me two weeks before sailing (December) to make my reservations, too and the closest Cash and I came to DVC membership is when we booked the sales pitch.....Sounds like you could use a nice relaxing day on Castaway Cay.....or I need another dose of reality..Of course, it did throw DCL a curve when a solo cruiser, with Service Dog, signed up for the Romantic Escapades package and requested both massages..:hyper:

Cash deserved to be pampered at least once! After all as a service dog, he does his your eyes, ears and legs all in one! Best friend in my life was a Military Working Dog that I had during the War - never forget the contribution he and the other canines gave for the USA!

IF you need want the number for the Dining Coordinator, let me know - anything I can do for a friend!

Hugs,
Rae
