ok, first cruise, 3 adults, going to sail the Wish probably 8/28-9/1. We are going to book the family stateroom with verandah, mid ship. Would like a "bump out" verandah just to have a bit more room. Travel agent suggested deck 9, any thoughts? Gets a little overwhelming, appreciate it! I guess we would lean more towards the upper deck, thanks!

Looking at the plans, I would go with the recommendation of 9 or maybe 7, if you can’t get 9. Being higher up can be nice but 10 would put you under the pool area so probably more noise and less privacy (not sure if people would be able to look down at you from above if you’re bumped out?). 8 has laundry so people moving up and down that hallway. 9 would have you between rooms from above and below but still higher up, same with 7.

Yes go with Bumpout on the Staboard side on Deck 9, 8 or then 7. If you want a particular themed room though you have to look at the list of them all. My daughter really wanted CInderella so we had to go on a lower deck.

What about Deck 11? Isn't that on the same levels as the pool? And food/drink stations? I'm thinking it will be very busy and noisy on Deck 11. Plus Deck 11 is Forward, no mid ship which I always thought was less motion. P.S. I'm not concerned about having a bumpout but would like to have a Deluze Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.

It is in the same level as the pools and there’s a bunch of elevators too, looking at the plan. If you decided on 11 I’d try to go far forward away from the elevators, but I could still see having extra people walking by if they’re waiting for an elevator or something, or kids running laps.

Midship and low is best for less motion. I haven’t sailed the Wish but was very sea sick on the Fantasy and dealt with it every where but our room midship, deck 7. So if you’re not sure if you get sea sick or are worried about it I would pick midship.

We are looking to book a Frozen themed stateroom, the shared image was too blurry to see the stateroom numbers, would you mind sharing the confirmed Frozen themed stateroom number on Deck 6? Thank you.

I'm more concerned about noise and crowds on Deck 11 with a stateroom. I think my daughter would like to be near the food/drink stations but if there are a lot of kids running around and people in general because of the pools, that would put a damper on things.

Thank you! If. this is accurate information, looks like all the frozen themed room are connected rooms. Will noise/soundproof be an issue?
Yes from what I can see the Deck 6 Frozen rooms all connect. Connecting rooms on the Dream/Fantasy weren’t noisy. The Wish should be ok too?

Thank you! As of now we are eyeing on room 6134, based on the sheet, it is a frozen themed room, close to stairs which will come in handy when go to dinner and DDs goes to Oceanear club.

How about 6634 instead which is also Frozen and the same location but Starboard side. At Castaway Cay, the starboard side of the ship gets a gorgeous view of the whole beach.

Some of the best advice I've seen about picking a stateroom says to check out the deck plans and find a cabin that has cabins above and below, and to the left and right. This creates a noise buffer from decks with more activity like pools and theaters. On the Wish, we chose deck 9 - easy walk up steps to pool and quick service food, easy going down stairs to MDR/theater/Oceaneer club.

We would usually go with Deck 9, 8 or 7 also, but their child wanted Frozen and ours wanted Cinderella. Deck 9 is all Sleeping Beauty and Princess & the Frog themed rooms.

I get that. My 10y/o son on the other hand was much more interested in how many times he was going to be able to ride the Aqua Mouse than what pictures were on the wall in the room.

Thank you for the suggestion. I heard about Starboard side has beautiful views at CC too. Unfortunately, 6634 isn’t available for the date we plan to travel.

We were just on deck 9 in a bump out room (9558) and I believe people could not look down into our balcony because of the cover from deck 10. Not sure about rooms on deck 10 though. We loved the location - I agree with the recommendation for deck 9!
