You're all probably laughing at me, but there's one little thing I'm not sure about when it comes to Hojo's ent. rate. Now, I don't use the ent. book (don't ask me why, I just don't), so can anyone get the rate? It sounds like if you call them up and ask them for it, they'll give it to you. Is there anything I'd I have to present to them or show that I do have an ent. book?

THANKS!

You have to show the card at check in. If you don't want to buy the book, you can get just the card on eBay. If the rate is available for the time you are going it is worth it to spend a few bucks to get the card.

Does that mean the discount is only applied after your check-in?

They don't charge anything until you get there. And you can reserve it with the Entertainment rate at the time of booking, you just have to show your card when you get there. They don't charge your card until you check out.:thumbsup2

Yes, if you were to show up without the card they'd charge you the full rate :)

Thanks all!

Last thing. Am I correct in saying that all ent. books, Anaheim or not, have Hojo in them?

If you have/know children in elementary school, they are a big fund raiser here. My youngest daughter sold Entertainment books for her Fall fund raiser, but I got one free at work -- I'm a teacher and all the teachers got a free book because our school sold them as a fund raiser. I've never used a single coupon from it because we just don't eat out much, and don't use the services offered, but I will be using the SuperShuttle coupon and of course, the card for the Ent. rate at Hojo!

there's a discount code for HoJo on mousesavers.com it's 15%. I think the code is LNMC, but check the link. AND no card needed. :)

Thanks! I know about the mousesavers rate, but can that be stacked on top of the entertainment rate? I'm actually planning on getting an AP soon, and I also know that Hojo has a percent off rate for AP holders. How many discounts can I have on top of each other? :lmao:

The entertainment card gets you 50% off a room at the HoJo, so that is better than any other deal out there. And the cost of the book is paid for in one hotel stay. I bought my entertainment book at Bed Bath and Beyond on sale, and used a coupon. My book has grocery coupons for $5 off per month for a year. Add that up, and add in the hotel discount, and that more than pays for the cost of the book. You could toss all of the other coupons in the trash and still save money.

AP is 20% off. No you can not have more than one discount.
The Entertainment Card rate is by far the best deal. I believe it is 50% off rack rate. Well worth it to buy the card for a few bucks on ebay if your travel dates are available at the ent. card rate. :thumbsup2

WOW! I think I need an entertainment book!! Is it 50% for the whole stay?? Or just a night?? Thanks!

Ok thanks. The ent. rate happens to apply the day after my bday, so it looks like the only thing I can do is get a regular rate for the first night with the AP disc., then use the last few nights with the ent. rate. Would that still be more economical than staying somewhere else?

As Sherwin said, it is available on specific dates. You get the entertainment rate any days listed on the HoJo site. You have to call the HoJo Anaheim number to make the reservation, as the 800 number people have no idea what to do with the entertainment rate. Our stay has an entertainment rate for 3/5 nights, so we have 3 nights with ent. rate and 2 nights with regular rate (note to self: need to change that to Disboards or Mousesavers rate!!!!). You can keep checking the HoJo website and if any or all of your dates become available you should call ASAP and get the entertainment rate.

One can always call the hotel directly, not the #800, to ask if certain dates that you do not see on the hotels site, is available. Sometimes, dates that are listed on their Innsider board, is not available at the time that one calls,or books on line. Then at other times, dates not listed, are available. It is a good idea, to check on a regular basis, on line and by phone. Seeing how people often will change their plans, so one day x day is not available, but now it is.

Bonne Chance!

You don't necessarily have to change your dates. Just keep checking the Hojo website because originally only the last few days of my stay was discounted, but when I checked the webpage, all of my days ended up being at the Entertainment rate. I found out literally less than a week before my trip just by checking the website. Score!

I ordered my book last week, they are 35% off with $1.00 shipping. I usually buy it anyway but after they go on sale. They have always paid for themselves.
