I read these boards all the time and have done 2 "scrapbooks". I put it in quotes because the first time i made one I just used construction paper and a 3 ring binder. For a first effort it came out ok. The second one I had discovered supplies at michaels had it bound at Kinkos and so it looks much better.

I am going again in 8 days and know I will take another ton of pictures for my first solo trip. I know this will sound stupid but I have seen many people use double sided pages and 2 page layouts. Do y'al create the page then paste it into an album to create this effect? Or do you use clear sheet protectors and just put 2 pages in one protector.

I love the look of the 2 page layouts but aren't quite sure how to accomplish it. I also have SO many pictures that I would love to use 1/2 the space effectivley per album. Please help!

First, let me say that there aren't any dumb questions. All of us were clueless at the starting and you don't learn unless you ask.
I do mine on a 12x12 piece of paper or cardstock and then slip it in the protective sleeve. I do this for 2 reasons: I like the idea of being able to move pages if I discover "lost" photos and I have young kids that like to touch the pictures so I like having them covered from little fingers.
We had 14 rolls of film from a 6 day trip in 2000. The album is quite thick so I'd suggest you get a good quality album for this trip. You'll have a lot of pages!!!
