Yesterday I was at Target getting a b-day present for my roomie. As I was looking at cards, there was this woman with her 5 year old (I didn't ask...he just looked about 5). He was misbehaving.

So, a few moments later the mom yells at the top of her lungs. "CUT IT OUT YOU BIG BUTTFACE!":rolleyes1:sad2:

The poor kid was in complete tears. She had a couple of toys for him that she gave back....it was quite the scene!!!

I hate things like that.:headache:

And I don't want to generalize, but she looked to be about my age. A teen mom with anger issues.

it might have been his sister?:confused3

that's what i would've thought too.

i babysit kids all the time and people are ALWAYS quick to assume that i'm the mother!! so i usually think it's a sister or babysitter when i see that sort of thing.

but could've been the mom...who knows.

People do the same to me! A few summers ago when my cousin was only a few months old, I was sitting on a bench at an amusement park holding her while her older sister, her mother, and my mother went on a ride. I got so many disapproving looks and a few people even came up to me and asked when I had had her!

So I'm going with Caitlin and Shelby on this. I think that it was his sister or a babysitter.

there was something similar on texts from last night.

(765): I just heard a woman call her child a butt face. Repeatedly. He's crying now. I love walmart.

..just sayin'. and i agree with everyone else, in that it was probably his sister or babysitter.

She's a babysitter.

But still, that's horrible.
I'd never hire her again.

I definitely think it was probably a relative. A babysitter would most likely be more professional, and I think there's an age cutoff when people stop saying 'buttface', so it's probably not his mother.

It was probably a sister.

Someone once thought my 8 YEAR OLD brother was my son. I was 14 at the time. Geez people.

How bizarre! Ok, that creeps me out a little!

I hope it was a sister. I truly do.
